The 1700x is slightly better then this correct?
2 extra cores, clock speed, but doesn't make a difference between this or a 1700X in games.

IIRC 2600 is actually better than 1700x in games. Do take a look at the benchmarks to confirm
At stock it should be, think the 2600's clocked faster outta the box. But I'd imagine the 1700x would have more room for overclocking
