Is it open season like when Amazon AU opened (I'm really sick of Spamazon posts) or do the same rules apply as Amazon AU posts?

  Yep. As of today. Already found something for $15 (GST included) that's $45 here in Aus. They actually include GST in the shipping price now it seems (they call it import tax which I suppose it sort of is).
