  Or, you could just enroll into a university course, become an official student, download free antivirus software (eg UNE offers SOPHOS, USYD offers Symantec), unenrol by census date, and keep the subscription for the rest of the semester as many public unis don’t check your enrolment status until after the semester or the entire year. It’s neither illegal nor unethical to enrol and unenrol. I’ve done this by accident because personal circumstances forced me to defer so many times.
