20% off Storewide for Black Friday @ iilumo (Automotive Bulbs)

60

Recieved an email for 20% off storewide on iilumo. Free shipping on orders $99 or more

Bought a pair of their H4 LED's and t10 parkers and blinkers at the last Father's Day sale and was thoroughly impressed with the quality. Fully Canbus compatible and not the crappy quality that youd get from ebay. Going to change out the interior bulbs to LED with this sale

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2018

Tempting, but as far as I can see the headlight LED bulbs are not ADR approved.

    • "but as far as I can see"

Pun intended? Wouldn't be very far with incoming cars using them in reflector housings.

I'd suggest PowerBulbs to get a pair of ADR compliant bulbs for headlights.

How does powebulbs sell ADR approved bulbs? they all say "not legal", "off road only". They are all illegal if you retrofit to cars that don't have the right housing.

I didn't say all bulbs at Powerbulbs were ADR compliant. If they are marked as 'not road legal' or 'off road use only' then that's pretty obvious. Get something like the OSRAM Night Breaker (which I have on the wifes car, and recommend) or the Philips WhiteVision, for a car with reflector headlamps.

My point is that iilumo only sell LED or HID bulbs, which will suck in a reflective headlamp, and to get a proven filament bulb from Powerbulbs in those cases.

I've purchased cheap internal LEDs from ebay and expensive ones from here.
Both work although the quality of these are far better (as you'd expected considering price difference). Worth it for me.
I didn't think about official approvals when making either purchase. Probably should have, but then half the appliances at home would fail with all the tronsmart, blitzwolf, xiaomi products I have plugged into discounted multi-port power boards I've accumulated.

  • At 3,000 lumens these aren't legal. ADR 13/00 - go to 6.2.9

  • The internal lights are very expensive even with the 20% off. Its not comparing apples and oranges because the cheap stuff does the same thing for 20 dollars and mine had lasted 4yrs
