This post contains affiliate links. OzBargain might earn commissions when you click through and make purchases. Please see this page for more information.

This should be the cheapest price among all the sales currently on, better than EB Games eBay ($284.05 + Delivery), Target ($269) and JB Hifi ($279) if you don't need the 2nd game Skyrim VR. I reckon it should be a Version 2 based on the design of the headband shown on the box photo. Just check the product code to make sure it is CUH-ZVR2, if not, please let us know and do not buy the first version, or return for a refund.

Update: Thanks to JKRITS01, this is confirmed as a V2 model

Good to click and order online and select your preferred store for pickup before stock runs out or price change

Can any kind soul also please enlighten me if this is worth buying, as I am new to VR games. Cheers!

  • Skyrim VR is pretty lame to be honest, not missing much.

    • Most VR games are lame IMO.

I enjoyed RE7 and played it in VR all the way through, but apart from that, no other games come close.

Any suggestions to convince me to pull the trigger on this? (Previously I borrowed a VR so don't actually own one).

Beat Saber, Superhot are both awesome.

Tetris VR and Arizona Sunshine are supposed to be good but I haven't tried them

      • If you like multiplayer tactical shooters, Firewall: Zero Hour with the Aim Controller is a lot of fun. Superhot VR is also pretty great.

      • +1

Batman VR is pretty cool, and is half price at the moment on the PS store. Big big fan of Superhot VR too. Great game.

      • Thanks guys, do you need the Move controllers for Superhot? They never seem to be on sale….

      • Lol thinking of purchasing Psvr just for RE7 just can't justify paying $259 why did Sony make it a PS4 exlusive decisions, decisions.:(

      • Astro Bot is fantastic, highly recommend if you can enjoy that type of game.

    • From the reviews I read, it's got pretty clunky controls but they have said it's fun to just play it in easy mode and walk around throwing fireballs at everything. Apparently it struggles a bit with the graphics.

      • They upgraded the graphics recently, it looks a lot better but it seems to chug more in fights in the open with a lot of effects. It seems to get around this by limiting the number of frames on specific enemies but not the headset itself so you don't violently vomit everywhere.

  • Hmmm think I'll wait for Friday, see what Amazon and a few other retailers price it at

  • How does pick up work? Do I have to pay beforehand or pay when I pick it up? Want to reserve one before stock runs out

    • +1

As this would be a popular deal, suggest order online and pay for it first then collect. Big W has a 30day return policy so it's pretty safe to buy and if change of mind can always return for a refund.

Another way is to call the store that has stock and ask if they can do a telephone reserve for you and you can head down to pay on the spot. I have done this before for a previous deal at Big W.

  • Just ordered online for pickup. Thanks :)

  • What's wrong with version 1? I can't remember what they changed exactly but I'm pretty sure it was just little aesthetic things right?

    • According to http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2017/11/guide_psvr_cuh-zvr1_v… The biggest change, though, is to the Processor Unit, which allows HDR passthrough when playing on a compatible 4K television. This is one of the biggest oversights of the original PSVR, as you needed to swap out cables in order to take advantage of HDR.

      https://www.inverse.com/article/41378-psvr-v1-vs-v2

      • So if someone is watching you play they will be able to see it with hdr IF the television they are watching it on is 4k and also is capable of hdr? I don't often have people watching me play games and I don't have a 4k TV to begin with so that doesn't seem that bad.

        • Yeah I guess if you don't have a 4K tv it doesn't make a difference. But I don't think there are any old ver 1 stock lying around much, and for the same price, ver 2 should be the one to go since it's the updated version.

          • @beetlebum: I think there is quite a lot of stock for v1, just the big shopping centre shops aren't selling it because it's the old version. Amazon has had a sale on v1 before and alot of ebay sellers have new stock of v1

            • @AlmightyBeing: Oh didn't know that as I only seem to see the V2 being mentioned. Guess we just need to be mindful of the differences and pricing before buying.

    • They slightly improved ergonomics, added integrated headphones, and reduced the thickness of the cable. Mostly QoL improvements.

  • Awesome. Got JBHifi to price match, and finally got use out of my Gift Cards.

  • Link for Targets deal? Cant seem to find it anywhere

  • Just snatched up the last one at my local Big W, can confirm it is V2

Also went to EB Games before hand, but apparently they do not price match on consoles/hardware

  • -1

    It's $399…

    • +1

The price is back to $259, odd that for a brief moment it went up to $399.

  • Got It for $206.1 but motion sickness and the blur is not doing it for me, I am not sure if all of them are like that or just mine that is giving me a blurry screen, I adjusted everything yet I still get a bit of a blury screen when playing gran turismo, also nearly puked playing it.

Edit: I Have slim PS4 not Pro.
