No. The smart series all have lithium ion batteries. Quicker to charge and last longer.
But not replaceable.
One of these days maybe I'll replace the AA battery in my old toothbrush.

I think so. you don't really need to charge it all the time anyway. Each charge would last at least a couple of days. We never had an issue with our 5000 dual handle.
real ozbarginers will not spend over 200 dollars on a toothbrush!
It is a bargain when you can get it at a price that you don't normally get. I'm not saying it is for everyone but I'm sure it'll save money for some of us.
