Yep, this guy called it.
Called it elsewhere a few months earlier too. I don't think this counts as prophetic…. It's more in the territory of plainly obvious.
DJ and Myer are old dinosaurs that missed the online shopping age. The only thing they may do now is fade away.
Mr Stark, I don't feel so good…
DJ' in-store and online seem like completely different companies. For price matching DJ's is a go to store. I avoid their online shop.

Yes, definitely.
I never buy gift cards much in advance of when I need them. I had some Dick Smith ones to buy an iPad mini4 - bought them at the discount rate form Coles then marched straight down and bought my device that day. I don't trust any of them nowdays. If you are going to give gift cards then just give money.
And they have the cheek to give the card an expiry date. There wasn't an expiry date on the money you paid.
I bet the buyer wasn't told they were becoming an unsecured creditor either…
Except maybe Coles and Woolworths - there's less chance of them going bust any time soon.
I'm looking forward to the fire sale
Apparently after the Myer Hobart store fire and the rebuild there was a flood. https://www.news.com.au/national/tasmania/ten-years-since-my…
I would definitely not be holding anything to do with Myer. Ironically, the gift cards are possibly even a worse bet than the shares at this stage.

Pay to read.
Gift cards are not an investment, you should use them as soon as you get them.
Went shopping last night with the missus, who is quite obsessive with their Le Creuset range. They are offering 40% for those and that got me thinking some thing is not right here cos these barely on sale, 20-30% is the highest they offered for very long time. Got home and the news broke on tv
Ended up some fancy frying pan and wish I should have bought some gift cards from Woolies ;)While I don't hold MYER they have just hired a new CEO who is supposed to be a top gun and turning these kinds of things around. Be an interesting few months and maybe Christmas sales will be a big help too?
so buy in now ?
Buy when ppl are selling off / fear - That's the way
I have never shopped at myer
Myer is my store! *insert catchy jingle*
Solly Lew will make a takeover. Probably a good buy around 40 cents
Him and Geoff Wilson were fighting over that a couple of months back.
Just a matter of time. If it's not today, one day soon.
