The next round. I.e. 3 rounds of $50 x 4 (taken up and met), one offer of $60 x 4 (ignored, all shopping at Coles ceased), then back to offering another round of 4 x $50 (taken up and met). Ironically the round after that they did not make me an offer at all, and I have no idea why (but again no shopping at Coles).

Sooner or later they'll work out the pattern: Does this person respond to offers? Yes, but only if we offer rewards >= 25%. Does this person shop here without offers? No.

In economics that makes me the most marginal & elastic customer in the shop, and all the most interesting stuff happens at the margins :-)

          • @nickj: I do the same and have been getting 10,000 points for $50 x 4 this whole year on one or more of my accounts, I have 5. If I do not get this offer I go to Woollies or Aldi and they return.

  • $80 for me as i am poor

  • 20,000 for $200 spend each week for 4 weeks

  • I'm finally getting them again! After 6 months or more of none of these offers I got one for $70.

  • Nice, got spend $90 for 4 weeks for $75 (15k points), but I have 3 deals also ending today, triple points, spend $80 for 2000 points, spend $110 for 4400 points. Guess I'm shopping tonight

  • $180 * 4 weeks, no deal.

    • So did you take the deal in September when you had to spend $140 x 4 weeks?

    • Same, not worth it at this price point.

I have a habit of not accepting these deals anymore.

This worked in my favour as during Aug/Sept I had three deals over three different weeks.
First was spend $210 get 9600 points
Second was spend $210 get 8600 points
Third was spend $210 get 8400 points

So 26600 points in three weeks.

These deals (on top of other point earning purchases) essentially paid got me most a trip from Perth to Brisbane in January.

Out of interest - did anyone else get any offers like this?

    • Yep we were on a roll in AUG/SEP and received 9600,9600 then 8400 - was too good not to get the shopping done ;)

    • Never get anything close to that. My GF always seems to get much better offers than i do. Id love to know the algorithm that flybuys uses as our spending habbits and purchases are almost identical

    • yeah I ended up getting something similar on this, made a killing.

But usually when I don't accept a deal, I just get my $ spend reduced by $10 every two weeks until I accept it. Although this time it is going up and trying to entice me with just sub 10k points.

  • I was thinking 3x Optus $40 Sim cards @ $15 each, that's 45$ just $5 short of the $50 mark

    • Does sim cards counted?

      • Not sure they certainly ain't gift cards or iTunes cards, nor a tobacco products

This is for the weekly 1000 point promo that was mailed out a few weeks ago

      • Probably doesn't as actually as it puts them under 'other giftscards' on the receipt, and they are placed along side gift cards in some stores.

  • Weird, my requirements down from $60 to $50

  • 150 for me :(

  • $210 for me as always..

  • Mine says 15000 points or $75 for next 4 weeks to spend $100

  • Mine is $250 x 4. I also received a one off spend $260 get 15,600 points.

  • Has anybody rechecked offers after activating 10000 points offer….. Have a separate offer to activate which is $50 off same spend over 4 weeks. Usually it’s either or….. in this case it appears to be a completely separate offer…. double bonus maybe….?

    • I've had it occur in error. It was weird because the first week I hit the minimum spend it printed out 2 x the "you have hit the minimum spend this week" but the following weeks I only got one print out and at end of 4 weeks only one 10k of points.

  • Weird, I got a new offer today which is spend $230 for 1 week and get 9,200 points.

Might have to hit that one this weekend!

  • I got 20 000 points for spending $250 per week for 4 weeks plus 17 400 points for spending $290 in one shop. These minimum spends are both more than I would usually spend. I have deliberately stopped shopping at Coles for over 1 month now to try and get their minimum spends down but it doesn't seem to be working.

  • $60 x 4 weeks for me for $50. I'm a Woolies shopper, so very rarely use my Flybuys card. Will make sure I do at least $60 worth of shopping at Coles those weeks

  • Usually always been $50 spend x4 for 10k points, I did a big shop recently off $120+ and now my spend is $80 which sucks but I got another offer of 7200 points for a one off $120 min spend which is handy as needed to buy a few things.

      7200 points for $120, that's insane

      • Yeah will be a nice little top up with the 10k bonus over the next weeks as well.

  • I got an offer for 6400 points when you spend $160 until Tuesday 20 November 2018.

That's like getting $32 discount or 20% discount, although you have to re-spend the money with flybuy dollars which isn't difficult.

I got 4x$50 shop for 10,000 points, then on top of that a one-off 4800 points for $80 spend. 4800 points = $24, and since I was going to do the $50 anyway, it's basically spend $30 extra get $24 extra back, so effectively an 80% rewards ratio on those extra dollars (more than meeting my 25% rewards ratio criteria). The big downside though is that it's quite liable to stuff up the next round of offers after this, so instead of offering 4x$50 they might up it, to say 4x$70. Still, a bird in the hand is worth more than 2 in the bush…

      • I do this too. Then if it goes up move to using another flybuys account or Aldi or Woolworths.

  • Got $50 on mine

  • Mine was $60 last time, now it's jumped to $70. I think I'll wait until it goes back down, either to $60 or $50.

What the heck..my offer for this 4 week spend has disappeared from my activated offers even though I activated it last week and spent the amount stipulated within the time frame.

    • +3

That usually happens. They haven't figured out a way yet of keeping the multiple weeks offers in the activated or current offers section. the offer should still be current, just not visible.

    • Yeah happened to me too. First time it had happened I think.

  • fsck Flybuys
This is the second time I have signed to one of these deals, make the spend, scan my card each time and poof! the deal disappears from my activated deals.

    Has anyone else had this?

    • Yes this happens to me and others here have mentioned it. It is not a problem, continue with the deal. I have always received the bonus points on these. The only one I had a problem with was a Liquorland promo and they said I will get the points.
I beat my own record this week. For $62.46 spend I received 3648 bonus points and that is not counting the 10,000 points I will get when I complete the 4 weeks. My spend this week was just over 49% off and of course most things I purchased were on special. Thanks OzBargain.

  • I had smaller values one.. Then for last few months I am getting like $130/$160 for 4 weeks. The problem is I always opt for delivery and there always are items that are out of stock. Hence, I end up getting extra stuffs with no bonus points. I gave up desire for flybuys bonus points
