13 months of shaving cackle. Anyone know if these are good quality? I remember reading some factories made them lower quality or they're all made cheap now? Cant recall exactly what was said. Would like some info from anyone with more intelligence than myself.

    • people are happy with these as per the reviews on the website, do not think Kogan will be selling counterfeit blades…

      • Blades made in SE Asian countries are of lower quality than those made in Australia. Ive fallen for these cheaper blades before and its really not worth it.

You mean made in Germany, Australia isn't known for making…. well anything of quality anymore.

          • @Maverick-au: Cant recall where else they are made. I was positive they are made in Australia as there is a Gillete factory a few kms from my house (in SE Melbourne).

            • @Piranha2004: Be interesting to know what they do make there. I've never seen Australian made blades.

              • @Maverick-au: Looks like you were right. Made in Germany. I thought I have seen a Made in USA as well.

                https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/759898/gil…

                • @Piranha2004: The turbos sold at Woolworths etc are
all made in Vietnam now. Cost cutting at our expense, they still make them in Germany as well but they sell those into Europe.

                  • @Maverick-au: Just checked the online store and it seems the 4 pack refills are made in Asia and 8 packs are made in Poland. I would definitely pay more for non Asian made blades.

                    • @Piranha2004: I'm sure the eight packs are Vietnamese blades as well. I checked stock at a few different stores and places like chemists etc. The importer/manufacturer changed over all stock late last year/early this year.

Naturally they didn't lower the price.

These appear to be the ones sold by BigW (around six months ago) look back and you'll see the OzBargain post.

They are made in Germany but I still don't understand the different colour on the blade housing as I've never seen it before. The packaging says they came in via official importer into Australia

  • I bought similar pack from Costco few months ago and they were made in Germany. I have ordered two packs from this deal assuming the same.

        Hi

I received the Razors and can confirm they are made in Germany. It is better than the Costco deal as Costco one only had 9 blades.

        • I just checked in to look for a response. Thanks for responding.

  • Anyone looking to buy this, I can confirm these are made in Germany.
