Thanks Man, I'm assuming it's a good deal so ordered it and another 12" from a different product to get over the free freight limit; $34 on this and $49 on the other - even just joining prime for this freight was a good deal!

  • I got one of this for US$11.29 back in Feb — courtesy of Ozb. Without the silicon handle though.

  • Would they be alright for eggs or would they stick?

    • +5

Yes as long as it's seasoned well (mine came preseasoned). Dont expect it to be as nonstick as tefal coated pans though

      • +3

Indeed, but you get to skip the frustration of the nonstick coating being cactus within 2 years.

    • A well seasoned cast iron pan with a little oil is fine for eggs. Cast iron needs a bit more maintenance but is so much more versatile and will last lifetimes.

That 26.035cm cast iron lid looks like a good match.

  • DOn't forget the 11% off with cashrewards/shopback

One of my treasured items in the kitchen. Absolutely love the thing. Be warned though, the silicon handle is a piece of trash. Just chuck on some oven mitts instead.

  • Seems fairly overpriced honestly. I've picked up decent cast iron stuff at Harris Scarf much cheaper. I'd also recommend if starting out with cast iron to get an enameled cast iron pan and if its just for general in kitchen use one with a non cast iron handle so you can at least hold onto it when hot.
