The C1032 with sapphire crystal is astounding value for an automatic with display caseback.

    • WatchNerd is an outstanding Ozbargainer.

  • Hey WatchNerd

A guy with small wrists (around 5.7") here

Since those Chinese watches are usually bigger than 40mm
I was wondering if you could recommend any small watches under $100.

All I've found so far is SNK809 (37mm)

    Thank you

    • +5

The 1st one in this deal is 40mm, but lots of Seiko 5 models are under that, so you could do a search on eBay to see what you like. Skywatches & eBay are usually the cheapest place to buy Seiko 5's.

    • A guy with small wrists (around 5.7")

      Is that girth or length?

      • must be girth (snort)

man, he must be thin… I'm thin and i'm like 7"

    • +3

SNK809 is the perfect choice if you're after an automatic watch. You could also consider a few different Seiko 5s such as the SNKL23, SNXS77, SNXS79, etc. I'd also factor in a little more for a decent strap if looking at the Seiko 5 Range.

If you want to splurge a bit, there are a few Glycine watches on sale on Ebay. For example, the Glycine Combat 6 36mm is about $400 delivered. It wears bigger due to being all dial, but should look good on a smaller wrist.

  • I purchased this watch through a previous deal, nice watch

  • +4

After years of pouring over WatchNerd and other user's excellent watch posts, I finally bought one.

I think the C1032 in black is that really classic look that I've been after for a long while, automatic movement, display caseback, 40mm or less, decent band and a sapphire glass face is exactly what I've been waiting for, for less than $150 - let alone 1/3rd of that price.

    • +4

let me put it like this…

you could go around to every jeweler in sydney and try to find a watch with the same features and you'd probably be spendling $750 or $1k simply because a watch with all those features just isnt possible in a famous brand for a reasonable amount of money…

My Seamaster and Rolex does it, as does my cheaper $1k range swiss divers but its a hard task esp. if you dont want a diver

    • +8

By the power vested in me it is my solemn duty to hereby absolve you of all blame and any residual guilt concerning the essential acquisition of this remarkably inexpensive exquisite horological masterpiece. ® © ™

PJC, you're one of the others who post excellent watch posts, thanks for all of that.

I appreciated the joke, and I've paid the toll to Hamza in advance many times in the past when I've had to argue the reasons for a temp ban. What's with the downvotes though? I have a feeling something went way over my head?

        • +2

No worries, I like PJC, have an upvote.

        • +1

It went even further over mine.

  • Coming up at $71 for me at the checkout.

    • Read the description, you need to add the Watch Band Spring Bar Remover to get over US$50.00.

      • +1

My bad, didn’t see the link and prices were only appearing in USD. Thanks.

        • +1

No worries, I think it might work out cheaper if you pay in USD and use your 28 Degrees Mastercard.

  • +1

A nice deal. Would a different band fit the unit? Such as a leather one.

    • Sure, just find a 20mm leather strap.

I buying the sub $10 china stuff off ebay "Leather deployment 20mm" as your search.

      • Just so you know, I think the C1032 uses a 19 mm strap which are not impossible to find but are a little rarer.

A 20mm NATO should fit if you squeeze it in but not sure about a leather one.

        • +1

Happy to change the description to 19mm if you are sure, do you own one?

          • +1

@WatchNerd: Sorry WatchNerd, you're correct; I just checked mine and it is 20mm. I must've put a 22mm on, thinking that is was a 20mm.

Probably the best bang for your buck watch I've seen. Thanks for all the great posts.

            • +1

@PrimalNuke: Your replies were enough to get me in. Thank you, and to OP for posting the deal.

      • Thanks. How long, from the purchase date, does it usually take to get these?

  • +1

    Thanks watchnerd, got silver
    Awesome post as always!

  • I have the 1st one in the white face from the previous deal the only gripe I would have is that the date window gets a little wonky at times. What would be a good NATO band to put it on?

    • +2

I've seen photos of it on a perlon strap and it looks amazzzing. Almost persuaded me to be one.

      • Almost?

        • I got this 62MAS homage by LTM, the same manufacturer as Sharkey, HIMQ and San Martin.

          https://www.aliexpress.com/item/San-Martin-62MAS-Men-Automat…

Combined with seller discounts and Shopback cash cashback, I got a great deal.

I posted the last round of Cadisens and Guanqins and picked up the Cadisen 1030 Nomos homage. I don't need many dress watches, so despite this Cadisen being a fantastic deal, I'll pass on this one. Got a couple of other watches on my radar.

  • +1

Thanks Watchnerd! It looks nice and the price is affordable! I've been waiting to buy my first automatic watch, and have been eyeing the Invicta Titanium automatic diver (0420) ever since I bought one of the $50 Invicta quartz diver from one of your posts. Today is the day Amazon AU dropped its Titanium automatic diver to a more attainable price after a long wait ($124 after 11% cashback via cashrewards). Will definitely give this Cadisen a try next time when it drops its price again.

  • +1

Thanks WatchNerd, been looking for a cheap but quality and auto dress watch. This ticks all the boxes.

  • +1

thanks, didn't realise there was a Casiden version of the Nomos homage. Looks better without that "Energy reserve 35 Studden" on the Guangqin version

  • +1

Fantastic value watches, bought both last time on special and have become my daily wearables. Might grab another.

  • +2

Thanks for yet another reason to buy an awesome watch at a great price! Bought!

  • +2

    Looks great, good review here

  • I've got the white version of the C1032 in its box in front of me right at the moment. Haven't decided yet if I will keep it or give it to my dad as a gift.

    • +2

If you're on the fence, I say gift it. Plus, some will be getting a great gift.

  • +3

As requested by WatchNerd, have posted some wrist shots of Cadisen C1030 Automatic (Nomos Lambda homage), following my review in previous deal post.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/409863#comment-6571450

    • Good review. I got the same one. The dial is def more silver than white, unless you get that certain angle (like they have in the ad photos). It's a bit easier to get the blue hands reflecting in the sunlight (again like they have in the ad photos), but most of the time they look black. Good quality for the price and the movement is running well. Surprised at the power reserve.

  • +1

Outstanding price for a classic looking watch with those features. Bought the white one but it was a tough choice. Not sure if I’m going to wish I’d gone the black or not.

  • They have lowered the price of the Cadisen C1032. $51.14 when you add the spring bar remover

  • +2

I've been here ten years and this is probably the best bargain I've seen - bought and saved.

    Quality post mate ;)

    • +3

Thanks but full credit should go to ilikeit, he was posting these before me. I just copied his specs.

  • Any know any good non-leather straps that would go well with this?

  • Price has gone up ~ us$4.

    • After the discount it's actually US$2.97. I have added this to the description -

Edit - Price has gone up to US$53.68 - $15.00 = US$38.68 so you no longer need to add the Spring Bar Tool.

Will leave it up to the mods if they want to expire it.

      • +1

        That's why I put in the ~.

  • Are there any other deals out there with a sapphire glass, seiko movement and SS bracelet with solid end-links? I might be mistaken but this appears to be the best value out there for a watch with these features?

    • Not too many quality ones worth mentioning. There are quite a few Miyota 8215 movement ones to consider as well. A lot are Sub homage. Depends on what style you want and budget. You can pretty good ones for around $130.

  • couldn't decide black or white oh well.. maybe next time :P

  • Anyone got is shipped lately, looks like gearbest having supply issues

    • Got a notification only this morning saying it had been shipped

    • Mine shipped today. Interestingly the watch band remover hasn't shipped yet though.

  • I have cancelled my order, they said 15 more days

  • Got mine today, very impressive watch for the price! However I note my extra spring bar thing didn't arrive in the box…

    • Mine came with one in the box early last week, and today I just received the tool in a separate tracked package.

The one that came in the box kept bending rather than pushing the pins through, but I did manage to get it to work enough to remove the links I needed.

The one that came today would probably do better, but the part where it is to be struck with a hammer is the band remover and has me worried it will flatten out the prongs when hit.

It is an amazing watch though!

      • +1

Yeah I got the pin tool today in a separate package. So wasteful…

I have always used one of these to change links in my metal band watches: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Metal-Adjustable-Watch-Band-…

They work much better than the "dentist's pick" version.

      • I've got both the watch and spring bar now but I'm having a terrible time trying to get those pins out of the links. I've got one that's poking out but no matter how much I hammer against the spring bar tool, it's not coming out :(

        • Once they are poking out, I used a pair of needle nose pliers to pull them the whole way.

The tool linked by xyron above might be your best bet if you are struggling with the included ones. I came very close to giving up and in hindsight probably should have as I risked damaging the watch when I was struggling with the bad link removal tools.

Here's hoping you get it sorted, it's a really nice watch!

  • Has anyone got the black dial one? If so, is the dial finish matte or sunburst? :) thanks!

Still on the fence :( Silver or black

    • i think black is more versatile. i got it. it doesn't have a sunburst effect

      • Thanks for that! dam I think the sunburst dial would look nice.. hm but I agree black would be more versatile

  • +1

Seems like a great deal, thank you OP.
Is shipping guarantee (extra $4.19) advisable? What's your experience? It's 60.55 + 4.19 (AUD). Cheers.

    • +2

I don't think most people bother with paying that.

  • Hi all anyone know how to get this thing started.

Tried back winding it and shaking to no avail

    Suggestions?

    The manual is very vague

    • +1

How To Wind A Self-Winding Watch

Note - Your watch doesn't have a screw down crown so just pull it out to the first position & start winding clockwise. Not sure what you mean by backwinding?

Also I wouldn't recommend shaking it, the idea is to spin the movement, so it's more like a circular motion.
