Kogan Simcard Won't Hotspot

Has anyone had a problem not being able to hot-spot your phone with Kogan? I've used kogan sims before & never had an issue. I have a new phone and a new kogan sim and it won't do it (it did for a while on my previous kogan simcard then stopped with a new kogan simcard).

I called kogan helpline and was told that I won't be able to hot-spot with a kogan simcard and should contact my phone manufacturer. I tried to explain that I've done it successfully before but the consultant just kept talking over me. She eventually stopped the 3rd time I asked to not to do this.

I wonder if the simcard is damaged or something.
My Aldi simcard hotpots from the same phone.
Any ideas?

    Can confirm my recently received Kogan sim hotspots fine(Mi Mix2)

    I'd start with…
    reboot
    test if hotspot works
    then clearing system caches with security app (use 'optimize' and 'cleaner') and then checking both 'System Update' and everything under 'System apps updater' are current
    reboot
    test if hotspot works

    if not then the steps on this page…

    you can also check if your APN setting match mine…Settings>SIM cards & mobile networks>select kogan sim at top>Access point names>Vodafone live!

    This fixed hotspot and tethering data usage being blocked on an Optus sim…

    In your APN settings, under the "APN type"; field, try putting in "dun" without the quotation marks. Edit this setting for your Internet APN only, not your MMS one. (HONDA4LIFE)

      Yep that did it for me when the OnePlus 6 pie update broke it for everyone globally.

      My APN Type under the SIM settings is default,supl,DUN as it would not accept a lowercase dun.

    i hot spotted during july + august with 2 different kogan sims with no problem

      Also been hotspotting with 2 phones, both with Kogan sims and never a problem.

      It was a very strange call. An Indian call centre and maybe she was a trainee.. an ill-mannered one. I suggested to her that I needed to talk so that I could tell her more about my problem.. Was put on hold 3 times… Reminiscent of theVirginmobile call centre years ago… Except they would apologise every 5 seconds for sure unknown reason.
