Just got an email from G'Day:
We’re emailing you as you recently signed up for a G’DAY Rewards membership using a promo code advertised on OzBargain.com.au.
Unfortunately the promo code you used to join was compromised and not a legitimate offer. We are not offering free 12 month memberships and are therefore sorry to advise that we are unable to process your membership with us.
We apologise for the confusion and any inconvenience caused. We are addressing these issues in our systems to avoid similar occurrences in the future.

Bullshit
Sad.
I wonder if that still stops TGG from setting up our access to the Commercial site, since we had already provided Gday membership numbers….
I reckon it won't work. As what we have been given was a temporary membership number, at least that's what it said in the email I received last night, which are probably deleted from their system. So when TGG goes back to verify the code, they would probably cancel our application because the codes are not valid any more.
Same here. Seems like a data collection tactic.

"Unfortunately the promo code you used to join was compromised and not a legitimate offer." [Even though someone that works here deliberately created the offer and has done the same before.]
