for me, the best speaker in this price range compared to the other similar sized and specs,

hands down in terms of bass, sound quality and value for money

      This competes against JBL Charge 3 and UE Boom. There are many YouTube reviews (some recorded with high quality binaural microphones) that will help you decide which is best for you.

      From a couple of the reviews I've watched, the Sony has better bass response (capable of producing lower frequencies), but the mids-uppers need some balancing to get the most out of it.

      Given the price, it competes pretty well with the Charge 3, which is currently ~$20 more from TGG's regular store, or ~$40 more from their eBay store after discount.

    Many YouTube reviews say the previous model XB30 has better sound quality than this new version, although this one does have a nicer fabric finish and better lights apparently.

            @xoom: Can confirm the biggest difference beet we the x0 series VS X1 series is the flashing lights and charging point
