  • Wow, great price.

The only negative thing about this TV from my research is that the HDR barely works, only thing that held it back for me.

  • Shame the cash back has finished.

    • +1

Yeah, but at the time of cash back, it wasn't as good as this deal.

      • +1

Yeah but this place made me greedy

  • is this the best value 75" TVs out there?

    • I think so.. the only contender would be the budget brands Soniq, Bauhn and Jaeger which had a Catch deal 30% off making it $1053 delivered for a 75 inch 4K TV.

But no idea on the quality between these three compared to the one in this deal above.. I just assume TCL would be better but wish somebody could comment further on it or shed light on which TV outperforms the rest in this price bracket for pc monitor usage and 4k gaming.

  • Im in the market for a cheap 75" TV at the moment too, but not a fan of TCL in general.

Waiting for a good price on a HiSense (sub $2k) or BigW to throw up the 70" Viano for $999 again (spewing when I missed that)

Quick google for reviews on this TCL turned this up

"Bought this 75 inch 4K TCL tv a couple of months back believing we are upgrading. Other than the screen size, everything is a disappointment.
The Android software is awful. It is highly erratic and annoying. The customer support helped me with the hard reset, software update, etc but nothing improved. The TV keeps coming up with new faults all the time.
My small external soundbar is better than it's Harman Kardon sound system.
The picture quality is worse than my 10 year old Samsung. Forget about 4k, you will dislike even the HD. I believe there is too much background bleeding.
Very disappointed. Have sent emails to the customer service for refund but they haven't even responded.
Save your money, go and buy a renowned brand!"

    • I have one.
      The sound is very respectable.
The picture is great on Free to air HD channels.
Android software is totally plain vanilla … nothing wrong with it. Other than limited apps … need to sideload "Prime" for example.
Excellent TV in my opinion (especially for the money).
If you want a big TV to watch Netflix, this is the it.
If you want something to replace your 4k computer monitor, I think you are playing with the wrong budget.

      • How about movies and games? Picture look good?

        • +1

very good on movies (better than my 2015 Sony) and both (adult) sons rave about how COD looks on the TV.

  • I bought this TV in the last good guys deal a few months ago was about $2150 so I think this is a great price.

I'm no tv tech expert so I don't know about all the different technologies and picture quality measures but this TV picture is great, its size is awesome (could not go back to a smaller screen) and inbuilt sound bar works well for us

Android tv is frustrating as hell but I think that's the same regardless of which make of tv. At least with Android TV it will get updated over time.

    Great deal

  • Refresh rate N/A?

  • Tossing between this and a few other cheaper but imho more budget brands.

My gut tells me the TCL will be slightly better but is it worth the extra few hundred bucks and nearly $800 when comparing to the Jaeger 75 inch 4k TV that went for $1053 delivered at Catch a few months back this year.

That extra money could go towards a bunch of other things including a sound bar or just general pc upgrades etc so honestly am fine with going cheaper on the TV if it means better overall pc gaming performance and maybe even a console or two.
