[NSW/VIC] $79 for 20 Meals ($3.95/Meal) @ MealPal (New Customer Only)

80

MealPal came into my office today and gave us a free lunch and this sweet promotion - $79 for 20 lunches to use over the next 65 days (Jan 3 2019)! Pretty good as you can eat from lots of restaurants in the CBD - I had a whole pizza for my lunch today. Promotion works out to be $3.95 a lunch.

Nearly the same offer as the offer posted on OZ Bargain last week (not quiet as good) but thought the people who missed out might like to get on it!

Only valid for new users and TODAY only.

I wish I could trial MealPal for less.. I feel like giving it a go.

    • see if there are a few of your friends who want to do it then share an account. note that you can only order one meal a day though

      • A colleague mentioned they did a trial for a week and loved it and subscribed full time. Been hearing good things about this service.

        • I'm on month 2, found some places great, others do a half assed version of their meals for meal pal, or it's not cooked and there's no fast queue for mealpal, so it's no faster. Others it's their standard $12 menu and ready when I walk in so even for $8 it's good.

Didn't use all meals available though. I was given two credits when I had bad experiences and reported them though.

I have a 3 month trial and will probably end it after that. If it was more flexible on meals (unused rolled forward, for example) I'd keep it. As it is I stopped taking meals from home because 12 a month is actually quite a lot.

        • You and the OP sound like you work for mealpal posing as an ozbargainer.

Is there a way to check which if any restaurants are available in my area without signing up?

    • Go to their website homepage, scroll all the way down. There should be a map showing all the restaurants. It's all in melb/syd CBD though

Thanks, pretty useless for me then.

  • Im using it from promo 2 weeks ago and would definitely recommend on these promo prices cant go wrong.

It's all in melb/syd CBD though..no bargain for those who don't work/live that close

  • Started using it from yesterday. Meals which usually cost $10-$12 are available for $3 through mealpal trial period.

On meal 15 here - food options are good but most restaurants are not ready if you go between 12 to 1. I get 5-10 min delays despite pre ordering the night before and worst was 25 minutes at highlander bar.

Meals vary from 8-20 depending on your restaurant choices ( got a mason dixon Philly cheesesteak hoagie today and Parma last week).

Downside is no transparency from mealpal, trigger finger on charging you and can't cancel unless you email them.

  • Hey OP how was the free lunch thing that they did? They're coming to my office on Friday for the free lunch and am expecting a big pitch.

    • Ok I never heard back from you OP - but that's cool, I can update.

The offer they gave was 50% off the subscription prices. Wasn't as crazy a pitch as I expected, and they were a lot more successful with getting sales in my office than I expected. I didn't expect too much interest because the closest restaurants are about 10-15 mins walk away from my office, but I think they got about 5-8 sales (out of an office of ~20 people)
