Seems like a ripper deal. Limit 10 per customer. Starts Oct 31. Enjoy :)
Note: Maximum of 5 gift cards can be used in a single transaction, see comment.

They do not count
well that sucks, thanks!
Netflix cards always have for me?
Edit - noticed last round says cards excluded but maybe they're not? I usually have to add a Netflix card to get to the min spend and have always collected the bonuses
You get base points so you may as well scan your flybuys card.
Some helpful links for anyone wondering about the other cards :)
Merchants for BEST/Pets Gift Card
Movie Gift Card Participants Cinemas
Merchants for Best Restaurants
Thankyou. Was just googling the company best pets without success
I bought a Nokia 7 plus with 20% off gift cards before GST. So, it could be $400 or less if you buy the cards with 5% Coles gift cards.
Good idea!! save save save
before GST was introduced to o/s sellers
Can Catch gift cards be used on MarketPlace items? I couldn't find anything in the terms and conditions (https://www.catch.com.au/gift-card/) that says you can't. but has anyone ever tried?
I can confirm it works for Marketplace items.
Thank you! :-)
someone at work said to me that Catch now have bricks and mortar store at Chadstone??
They do. Temporary only!
There's always a catch :)
theyre trying to be the australian Amazon and amazon go
If you can find someone with a Coles staff discount card then you can take another 5% off the sale price.
Not on gift cards
I get 5% off as an AGL customer, there might be other loyalty programs
Hmmmm OK… so if I use a 5% off (Entertainment Book) gift-card to do this 20% off deal/thingy, then apply the 'Uni 10% discount', then given the additional '5% off as an AGL customer' (as long as I can 'find someone with a Coles staff discount card' [another 5% off] who is also an AGL customer [another 5% off]), I can order whatever I want from 'The Catch' at half the going price, right?
Cool. Thanks OP, good find.
Maybe stay at uni a bit longer if that's how you think stacked percentages work?
@2024: They teach simple math at University now?
has anyone tried buying a switch on catch before using the Uni 10% discount? Was going to use in combo with this, but doesnt' seem to register the 10% discount?
Im off to look on catch, see what's looking good.
Any good finds?
Bose QC 35 ii for $294
Will probably be sold out or excpired by then.
Do you know how much are gift cards worth?
Are they 20-50-100-200$???
@nikoris: $100, $50 and $20
@Pricebeat: Can i use ten 100$ gift cards to buy a phone, or is there a limit on every purchase?
@nikoris: Limit of 5 cards per transaction.
@Cisco123: Actually I used 9 Catch cards recently for a single, $420 purchase. I bought the catch cards at woolworths for 20‰ off and bought an iPad :)
@freo: How did you do this? I am trying to make a purchase using 10 cards, but after 5 cards its says this: You may only use no more than 5 gift cards at a time. PLEASE HELP!
@pandabear: A few people are claiming they have used more than 5 cards in a single transaction but this is no longer the case. Now max of 5 gift cards per transaction and given Coles only sell $50 cards that makes the maximum discount $50 per transaction.
Really only useful on items selling for $250 or less.
Just curious what do everyone buy from Catch?
Pretty random stuff. Usually groceries (soap, dishwasher tablets, etc when they have a promo/sale). I've bought a small table from them. I'm currently looking to get a GoPro accessory from them which would cost more to get from overseas.
I am currently after a 10 inch chef knife, not sure the knives that Catch sells is legit though…
You're right, they are actually spoons… ?!?!
@bargainshooter: I see you've played Knifey-Spoony before
@Merlict: Gold.
I would have used it for a 75 inch 4k TV for $1053 delivered so minus 20% from that.
Limit of 5 cards per transaction might not allow.
What is the max denomination of gift card? $50 ? $100 ?
Check out my reply above, I used 9 card recently
Just got a vitamix blender to replace my optimum blender that has been overused.
Make up.
10% discount from uni days + cash rewards wasn’t too bad. This would have been better. But, there’s always a better deal waiting.
Hmm I've been keeping an eye out for a Bosch heat pump clothes dryer. Catch's price is way above other retailers.
Think I'll wait for a sale from Bing Lee, Good Guys etc.
I can confidently say.. do not buy a Bosch heat pump dryer.
We have one (spent about $1300) and it is the biggest heap of junk I've ever spent my hard earned on.
Currently waiting (4 weeks now) for the repair company to replace the PCB, however, don't think that it's going to fix it and think its just a bad dryer.
We have a Bosch washing machine and want to stack a dryer on top. Unfortunately I think because of that we will need to stick with Bosch.
I have Bosch dryer and I would say that they have some design problem. Had an issue and the fix was to clean some secret drawer inside the dryer after taking it apart. I did it and took almost 4 hours.
https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/bosch-condenser-dryer-cle…
However after cleaning its working without any issues for 2 years.
We've had the opposite with the Bosch heat pump dryer. Really happy with ours and had it for roughly 3 years now.
Ours model is the Bosch 9KG WTW87565AU
What model is yours?
Ours is a WTH85200AU- we've only had it for about 3 months.
Literally, 3 hours in and the 3 towels we put in there still isn't dry.
It also randomly won't let you turn it on for more than a few minutes as it senses that the contents are dry (which they certainly are not).
Get some 10% gift cards for David Jones from RACQ or similar, then get DJs to price match a rival company.
I purchased my Miele heat pump dryer from DJs and got a good price, as Miele price control their products.
I was told that they don't accept DJ gift cards for Miele. (earlier this year)
This was back in March, I used the card in-store and the staff commented that a few customers had done the same. your mileage may vary, and since davidjones.com.au/giftcardtermsandconditions is now a dead link its hard to check what is and is not excluded for this cards
Does anyone know if I can use gift card to buy catchconnect mobile plan ?
https://www.catch.com.au/gift-card/
Number 6 in the T&C's says no catchconnect services.
Thanks!
Can these be used for Apple products? Do they have a price guarantee as their apple phone prices are very inflated.
I bought an iPad using girt cards from Catch last year, no problems Though there may have been a maximum number of gift cards you could apply, can’t remember
You can use the gift cards on anything except Catch Connect and the Club Catch membership fee, they don't have a price match/guarantee though.
Max 5 gift cards per purchase, so only $250 if you're using these $50 ones.
See above, I bought an iPad with 9 gift card
Does uni days work with these gift cards and if you buy Coles gift cards at 5% off can you buy these with that.
with uni days sales would be massive - I only wonder.
Do the uniday codes work sitewide (catch.com.au)? I have a uniday account and got the 10% code and it is successfully applied but no discount at all. Any idea?
Can't buy gift cards for 5% off with the staff card. The unidays discount excludes all Marketplace, Apple and Nintendo products. Stacking gift cards and unidays worked for me although that was like 4 months ago now
@damoss: Can confirm gift cards can still be used with Unidays. By stacking this offer with Unidays you have effectively a 28% discount off anything but Apple/Nintendo/Marketplace.
i got the same problem, the unidays code registered but nothing happens, price just the same!!
@Sonca: What did you have in the cart? If it's from the Marketplace (will say 'Sold by x') or an Apple/Nintendo product the discount won't apply.
Do Coles only sell the silver best restaurants card (as per the picture in the ad), or do they sell the black one too?
I'm keen to know too. It makes a huge difference in terms of where it is accepted. BEST has such a strange system where many restaurants accept one over the other. I can't figure out what the business sense is in creating two otherwise nearly identical products that are both meant to serve as gift cards under the same brand - isn't it just confusing for the customer? If there wasn't this special, I would probably think "stuff it - BEST cards are too confusing. I'll buy the Good Food Gift Card instead."
Is there maximum gift card value we can use? I want to by Breville coffee machine BES970. 20% of 2200 would be amazing.
I think it's 5 giftcards max.
Do you max 5 gift cards per transaction? What is the face value of gift card in coles? 100?
Max $100, there are also $50 as well…I think also $20.
Does anyone know if the catch giftcards can be used soon after activation or if you need to wait a couple of hours to 24 hours before being able to use them?
Last time I bought these from Auspost I had to wait like an hour before it worked
OK thanks. That's good to know
https://www.catch.com.au/product/apple-airpods-w-charging-ca…
So airpods can be dropped to around $160?
$165.40 if they don’t increase the price I’d think. I’m not sure if Catch would price jack based on a gift card though, so I guess as long as the gift cards include those Apple EarPods you should be sweet.
Is $50 the highest gift card? I know I could just get around the 10 per customer by going to another Coles, but wondering if there's a $100 gift card?
I have the same question
There are $100 Catch gift cards but it seems unclear as yet whether the promo is for all values or just the $50.
I only found the $50 ones and was able to use only 5 cards in the same transaction :(
If you're looking at the catch gift cards, you can only use a maximum of 5 in one transaction. https://help.catch.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/115003188854-Can…
possibly a stupid question but does Catch exclude any items from gift card purchases, in the way that they do for Unidays codes? if not then a Switch comes down to $320ish, unless they lift the current ~$400 price.
https://m.catch.com.au/gift-card/
nvm, found the T&Cs, only seems to exclude their mobile services, but above comments suggest max discount for one transaction anyway is 20% * (5*$50) = $50…?
I have the following questions:
1) What is the max value for a gift card? 100$?
2) Can i use ten 100$ gift cards to buy a phone? Or is there a limit per transaction?
I have the same questions, can someone answer?
hopefully someone will. I have so many things i wanna buy from Catch
Max card denomination is $100 and Catch has a 5 gift card max limit https://help.catch.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/115003188854-Can…
@websterp: Although it says in their T&Cs that the limit is 5 gift cards per transaction. But i can confirm that i used more than 5 back in May to buy their 65inch Led TV. I am not sure how their system works these days. But when i bought my TV, their system wasn’t able to detect the no of cards i used, and allowed the order to go through.
@XedeX: ITs only 5 cards these days, it doesnt let you use more than that.
Netflix gift cards available here in this deal? I need to put some credit in an existing account.
any good.buys?
does catch offer restaurant/travrling?
20% off $2369 =$473.80 for iPhone XS max is quite a deal~
Depends on which denomination gift you can get your hands on at Coles
Doesn't work like this. Catch has a 5 gift card max limit and I'm sure $100 is the highest gift card value available from Coles. So the maximum discount you can get is (20% x $500 = $100)
Do these counts towards the minimum spend for bonus flybuy points, anyone know?
