Horizon Zero Dawn - The Frozen Wilds DLC for $11.98 (currently 60% off). One of the best DLC if you have Horizon zero dawn standard edition (not complete edition). Approx 8h long game play. surely value for money.
This price is for Australian Playstation store. Make sure you have Aus (PAL) version of Horizon Zero Dawn disc before you buy. If you have US (NTSC) version disc then buy from American Playstation store for USD 9.99.

HZD looks amazing and has fluid gameplay… but unfortunately, I played this game right after Witcher 3 and I found the latter to be MUCH better. The side quests on this is boring AF and the main storyline can be completed very fast on moderate difficulty. It doesn't deserve the ratings it received IMHO
Certainly agree that Witcher 3 was a storytelling masterpiece but don't think HZD was overhyped at all, it was fantastic in it's own right. RDR2 shaping up to be GotY too.
Just play Red Dead.
Agree that Witcher 3 a better game in most aspects but HZD not an entirely bad game either. Agree that I had some boredom troubles
I think I enjoyed HZD more than The Witcher 3.
Witcher 3 is many people's greatest game ever, I don't think being 2nd or 3rd place to that is a bad situation to be in. I loved HZD but I think it wasn't as good as Witcher 3.
I'll probably take yours (and other) recommendations and look at Witcher 3. Youtube here I come. Should I also consider Witcher 2 or 1 (if they are available on PS4 even)?
Personally, the kids & I loved HZD and the storytelling elements of it, so curious whether Witcher is also strong in that and fun for kids (if it is allowed for 9yr olds to play). Happy to hear your thoughts.Witcher 1 - PC. Witcher 2 - PC and X360.
Witcher 3 is not for kids. R18+ with swearing, nudity/sex scenes, and of course - violence.
Witcher 3 is by far my favourite game I've ever played, alongside Bioshock Infinite and God of War.
Don't worry about Witcher 1, it hasn't aged well, Witcher 2 is a good game, you don't need to play either to enjoy Witcher 3.
Thanks OP :-)
Enjoy
I enjoyed the base game. Is this worth it?
Totally!
Yes I'd say so - it adds at least a dozen hours (more if you go for all sidequests/completion) and ups the difficulty significantly. The new machines (robot bears, basically) are one of the tougher you'll face, and the story adds more to the backstory of the main game.
Loved HZD so much.
I even pledged for the board game on Kickstarter:

Any tips on the easiest way to check if I bought the AU or US digital copy?
if your PS account is american and if you have bought it from that account then it would be american digital version. likewise for australian.
If you have american ps account and you bought digital australian version from somewhere otherthan playstation store then you would need to have australian ps account to redeem australian digital version game and then you can switch account to play on american account.
in a nutshell, you will need to have same version of basic game and dlc independent of ps account
hope it's not confusing.Check your emails/receipt
deactivate the US account and see if it still works on the other accounts?
This game was amazing and the DLC was definitely worth full price.
I might have to replay it all after I finish AssCreed Odyssey…
Oh goody, I stopped playing after GOW came out and never got the DLC looks like an excuse to finish the game.
Damn! Sold my hzd before the dlc came out….
This game was one of my favourites in years. I really didnt expect to enjoy a world where we had machines vs bows and arrows but the story was immersive. Great open world and all time best graphics on this gen platform.
Those Fireclaws…
