That's why I give them to the kids.

      • Lol the black current ones are very good but hurt my throat from all the sugar 😂 but so worth it

  • I got a bag of each of the types. Will come in handy over summer.

Edit: they were this cheap at Foodland in SA the past week

Not sure why this comment was negged. Here's a + to balance it out.

    • Protectionism isn't always the answer, Savas, otherwise we won't be able to export anything.

      • -1

ohhh right, we don't want to miss out on that opportunity to dig up our agricultural land so we can export coal.

        • +2

Hmm! I didn't know we had just one product to export to the rest of the world. OK, I'll leave you to do your thing. Slowly backs away

          • @AussieDaddy: what is the point of importing beans?? we can grow them here for the same price without the added environmental footprint of transporting them accross the world. if you cared about cost you could boil your own dried beans.

Annalisa Beans and Tomatoes were 69c here too.

    Love me some Annalisa.

I read somewhere that Annalisa exploit their workers so I don't buy them anymore.

    Edit: Here is the article

    • That's an interesting article thank you.

The downside to the argument, though, is that it has become very clear in the last 2 years that too many Australian farmers (particularly through the use of labour-hire firms) are exploiting migrant workers in Australia too. So while the situation in Italy is worse, the "supporting Aussie farmers" line that people are using in this thread is ignoring "screwing the workers here" for some parts of farming at least.

      news.com.au

Well that's the most legitimate news site around, I guess I'll have to believe them.

Seriously though, you do know how many workers are exploited in some way from pretty much any company? If you are looking for some bad press about a business, you'll find it.

  • For some reason at first I thought these were peeled tomatoes?
Oh well I guess chick peas and lentils it is instead :D

  • Thanks, Chibot. I guess it's time to make up a large pot of Chilli Con Carne!
