[Serious question, since the maturity in the comments seems to be low] Why do chemists not sell individual condoms? There are many single men without FWBs who might only have sex once a year or so, yet condoms have a terribly short best-before date, meaning that most of the box gets sent to landfill.

Strange, it seems many of the ones I buy from chemists expire within 2-3 years. In any case, for many men, that means more than half the box (which seem to average a count of 10 would need to be thrown away.
These ones at my store expire in mid 2023.
Same reason food places sell you big serves few really need to eat. They can charge you more, people accept it because of the what they get and the store doesn't care what gets wasted as they make more money per customer.
They can always buy a box of 6.
Guess you can find 30 of these men and split the payment?
