NOTE: The success of this offer led to CUA being inundated with people wanting to open new accounts, and as a result, we experienced some system capacity issues.
These issues have now been rectified and the offer has been reinstated.

    • Accurate!

  • +4

So $175 all up with the esaver account? Maybe it's actually worth the effort this time, but I don't know much about CUA

    • +1

I don't think you are able to stack these, someone might have to confirm with support. Also note that the savings account also benefits the referee ($75).

    • tricky, it says you need to be a new member for both. if that is the case then this one is better

    • I think if you use the main link, you get $100 bonus alone by using the code. If you use a referral link, the code is the referrer's code, both get $75 each. Can't see how they stack together.

      • So for couples, the best way is to first get the $100 then refer your partner to get $75 each.

        • Why not create 2 separate accounts, both get $100 each?

          • @yht: no, padman is right .

            it will be $100 + $75 again + $75 for his/her partner.

            So that's $50 extra

          • +1

            @yht: Because $100 + $75 + $75 = $250 > $200??

          • +2

@yht: I think the logic is:

            Non-referred accounts:
Person 1 from opening account: $100
Person 2 from opening account: $100
            Total: $200

            Referred second account:
Person 1 from opening account: $100
            Person 1 from referring: $75
Person 2 from opening account: $75
            Total: $250

            • @Muffington: Hmm,
Wouldn't the $75 referral credit only apply for the one who receive the offer :

Only existing members that receive the dedicated special offer by email with their unique promotional code are eligible to refer new members and earn the $75 reward. No cash is paid to either new or existing members unless the new member referred meets all the qualification criteria below:

        • Damn, didn't know about the other referral deal, both me and the wife just used this one.

        • If it's like ING some ppl don't get the referral promos, so perhaps you won't get the offer to do the referral… if you don't want to risk it then do 2x new applications

    • -4

Where do you get your referral link from

  • +2

now need to wait for the card, many thanks for the find

    • you have applied? thats quick

      • +2

yes, took less than 2 mins, no brainer application form, fastest $100 in history…lol

      • i also have applied, tappa tappa tappa lets go

    • -1

Make a total of at least 5 Visa payWave transactions

So, they will send me a Debit Visa card to meet the above requirement?

  • +1

It was easy to open account. It took less than 2 min

  • Free monies

  • +2

this is good no requirement to transfer xxx, or have minimum balance in the ac.
just apply, done with the requirements, and leave $0.50 in the account till january 2019

    • Do you need to leave 50c in the account?

  • +1

Thanks OP! No transfer requirements, plus no min balance means NAB (yeah, the one that's forever withholding Apple Pay) can go <insert nice phrase here>.

      • Welcome, be Like me, i am moving to Citi, next highest interest

        • Yeah unfortunately I've already used the 4 month introductory rate with Citibank years ago :(

  • Thanks

    • Thanks, added to OP.

  • Any idea what the process is to close our account after?

    • +2

I’m thinking of leaving it open since there’s no min transfer requirements. But serious question, why would you close it?

      • +2

So that in 5 yrs time, you are considered a new client on a new offer.

      • +3

So u can be a 'New customer' in a couple of years if and when they run the promo again (subject to terms and conditions!)!

  • -3

Are you Australian resident? BOOM SHOT DOWN
    No deal for me

    • +2

Not sure where you're from, but if you happen to be Kiwi we generally count.

      • +5

And often in the right order too.

    • I thought Australian resident doesn't mean you have to have an Australian passport? Just got to have the visa and live here lol

  • +2

Wow it’s quick and easy. I didn’t even have to type my ID, it has been verified automatically, the account was open in less than 2 minutes.

    • Same here, didn't even need any ID, but I did put in my tax file number.

      That was way too easy!

      • It was optional so I didn’t put my TFN either

    • So you're telling me I can use a fake name?

      • Real name, but didn’t have to provide IDs.

  • +2

Signed up, though the WAC password they sent me didn't work at all so I had to reset it. Weird

    • i had the same issue lol

      • me too, cant log onto the site, but can on the app

        • After I reset it, it let me log into the app and site just fine.

Also there was no indication that the "Cash100" code was successfully applied; hopefully it worked

        • +2

Mine had a ! at the end, which I was missing. Added that and it worked! It was like: ucar575G!

          • @[Deactivated]: I just thought they were enthusiastic. Oh well, all sorted now.

          • @[Deactivated]: thanks for this.. nearly locked myself out cos I didn't put the bloody question mark at the end -_-

  • +1

Can't say no to free money. Slightly worried about how easy ID verification was… Nothing stopping someone from opening accounts in your name.

    • @_@

    • +2

but…card will be sent to their address 😊

      • +1

and they get the money too 😂😂

      • +1

That's besides the point. You have access to online banking which means the account can be used for illegal purposes under your name.

  • Gonna have a crack.

  • +1

Hmmm I opened an account without giving my drivers license. Just passed ID check with nothing but basic info. This is a bit suspicious?

    • -1

I think it has an active searching engine running, probably verified with your address. For me as soon as I entered my address, a new address, it said we need old address and also further information and asked to enter driver licence etc.

    • +3

its a bit worrying. i always thought you needed to provide 100 points id

      • Pretty sure they'll make you collect your card in person & show ID then.

      • +1

As far as banks go they look legitimate! As far as banks go ….

        • Yeah looked a bit dodgy, website could be better imo… I gave CUA a quick Google search & seen it was Founded in 1946 so just trusted it & hope they honor the code seeing they have our personal details now..

  • Wait… how can you make the extra $75 if no one has posted a referral link? am i missing something or is everyone just applying for the $100

    • OP of the $75 deal posted his referral.

      • I dont think you can stack as you can only add 1 promo code?

        • It is my understanding that you're no longer a 'new member' if you sign up to this deal.

  • -1

can someone add their referral, so you can get $75 referral bonus please? thanks!

    • +1

You commented in the wrong deal. The OP of that deal has already posted his referral code.

    • +1

      Cash100

  • +1

Can you make 5 $0.01 payWave transactions?

    • +1

You can do that on your next trip to Coles

    • Not sure if they will flag the system if you do that, Bankwest seems to do so.

      • Yeah I was afraid they might do that. Wonder if there is a minimum limit on transactions.

    • just buy grapes etc or chocolates for a $1

    • +2

For "offers" like this, I generally split my payment multiple times and tap (i.e $0.10, $0.20, $0.30, $0.40, $0.50 so I don't lose count), then complete the rest of my transaction on my regular card or gift card.

  • Are you kidding me? Just applied (but hasn't opened) one on 23rd Oct wihtOUT the code!

  • -1

Where can I create a referral code

    • Referral code is for esaver Boost saver account I reckon. Just copied and pasted

Only existing members that receive the dedicated special offer by email with their unique promotional code are eligible to refer new members and earn the $75 reward. No cash is paid to either new or existing members unless the new member referred meets all the qualification criteria below:

  • +1

    Applied and thank you op¡

  • What defines a new member? I’ve had an account with CUA up until a few years ago.

  • +1

    Thanks OP

  • +2

Cool thanks OP - CUA are also part of the NPP so fast transfers etc https://www.cua.com.au/digitalbanking/npp#new_tab

  • Thanks op, can I sign up for mum and dad too? So $300 free monies?

    • +11

Yes Timmy. Make sure you get mummy and daddy's permission though.

  • ID check failed. Now await for email…

    • Did u get an email? I didn't get anything

      • Not yet, still waiting…

        • Did you go to https://www.illion.com.au/ to do your ID check?

          • @Micky14: No I didn't get any email for further ID check. I rang them up this week to follow up and soon after they sent me an email with new account details, and I had to ring again to get a code to register for online banking.

I like their callback service though so I don't have to wait on the phone.
