Great price for high end Sennheiser gaming headset. Usually well over $350.00 currently on most stores.

I have the Massdrop version (PC37X) and am very happy with it. Some minor design changes that make it a better product. It is also cheaper than this special to buy on Massdrop ($119 USD = about $169 AUD).
Actually its US$135 because of the import taxes. So AUD $190, still a good deal and on-par with the deal above.
You forgot shipping and possible import charges. Also this includes a sound card
Is there passive noise cancellation on these?
Or do you hear everything around you all the same?
No noise cancellation, but that's kind of the point with open back headphones. You can hear everything around you all the time, you can have a conversation with a person right next to you, and no one can sneak up on you haha. There is some minor sound leakage but its not noticeable unless the volume is extremely high.
The biggest advantage is the sound imaging. It sounds a lot like listening to normal speakers. The soundstage is very wide and it feels quite transparent. I have personally always preferred actual speakers to headphones and this is easily the best compromise if you must have headphones.
Worth reading if you have never listened to open-back headphones before: https://www.4ourears.net/Articles.asp?ID=253
Does this give surround sound on playstation though?
Going off Sennheiser site i would say no they don't support PS with these headphones.
For my PS i went with:
https://www.hyperxgaming.com/us/headsets/cloud-revolver-gamiā¦
(Revolver S)
Which i can confirm do 7.1 via the dongle and work great :)
I have one of these. Very comfortable and the sound is quite good, mic quality is also great. I am a big fan of the open back design. The only con is the USB interface and the software. There is no equalizer or useful control over the sound. Disappointing given the general quality of the product.
If I had to do it again, I would get the PC37X, which was the Massdrop version of the PC373D that ditched the USB and replaced it with a regular 3.5mm jack.
