Been waiting for a decent deal. Picked up console and RDR2 from munno JB (SA). They were out of stock of the forza7/horizon4 token and offered to swap for nka2k19 + horizon 3 + hot wheels bundle….did the ring around and found West Lakes store had a forza token but no consoles, so I organised to pickup that last token. Bit of travelling around but in the end got the X, RDR2, Horizon 4 and Forza7 for $399 after 2 x $50 gift cards. Very happy with purchase and the staff were very helpful ( and all RDR2 fans it seems ).
NOTE Not sure what your local store is doing, but JB at gepps X was out of stock, but was willing to take payment and then order in at the sale price. So even if your local store is out of stock it may not mean you have missed out….you may just have to wait a week or 2.
Still some stock left at JB Hifi Home in Townsville (Domain). Bagged a white version as I think it looks awesome.
Ended up trading some games to get $86 worth of credit, and also got discounted 3 months XBL (plus bonus 3 months) so the total outlay was $430. They had run out of Forza Horizon 4 and Forza 7 codes (I already have both on PC) so they gave me an NBK19 code instead – which I'll sell.
Have not played on Xbox since my 2013 Day One console shit itself in mid 2016, will be interesting to see how much things have changed!

Went to EB, they price matched JB, traded in old OG Xbone and scraped the bottom of the games drawer for anything still in there to trade.

Didn't take RDR2 and they instantly took $55 off the price. (Don't have time for such a huge long game).
Then sold FH4 and F7 for $100 for both. Got my whole spend down to $211. Not baaaaaaad at all :)
X1X is night and day to my old OG Xbone. Looks freakin incredible on my 65in 4k HDR Panasonic
Well done mate. Among all that, any idea what the trade it $ were on the OG Xbox itself? I picked up the X1X on the weekend - yet to unbox it but when I do I'll consider whether to keep the original X or sell it. I'm torn as I still have the Kinect and kind of sad to bench it as it's part of gaming history!
I got $121 for the OG, a couple of bucks each for the old Xbox 360 games, and $55 for not taking RDR2. I'm EB lvl 2, so that's including the 10% more I get for trades. I would totally sell the OG if it were me…I ditched my kinect long ago, besides the dance games, it basically did nothing for me.

Did EB take the controller as part of the X trade-in or could you hang onto that?
@fookos: Yeah you need to hand in a controller and all cables to get that trade in price. But you get a new controller with the X1X of course, so just get rid of your oldest one. Forget the auto sign in with kinect, and just link your profile to a controller. I have my own controller, and the kid have theirs, each one signs in the person it needs to.
where did you sold FH4 and F7 codes for $100?
I sold RDR2 for xbox one for $55 (even offered me $30) and trying to sell bot games for $55 but I'm still receiving offer for $40 or $50 for both games.
Just on Facebook marketplace. My mate did the same thing and sold F7 and FH4 for $110 on ebay, if that helps
