Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - $50 Trade Credit OR $60 Trade Credit Towards Pre-Order @ EB Games

90

Pretty good deal if you picked up the game for around the $60 mark. Could trade it in towards a game like Red Dead Redemption 2 and almost get it for free.

Note that this offer ends 26 October 2018.

  • Very interesting. Who would trade it in so soon though?

    • People who bought it for less and are profiting. As below…

    • People who only plays single player missions are disappointed that no single player campaigns are no longer included in Black Ops4.

      • I'd hope before buying the game they'd at least look up a review or two. It's been mentioned in every one.

    • Me. I bought a copy yesterday and I'm not feeling it. I hadn't played COD since Black OPs 2.

Looks like I'll be getting red dead this week.

(Last time I traded in anything were copies of my Kingdom Hearts 2 and MGS3: Snake Eater and I still regret it….)

  • The trade in is stackable with your EB World card.
For example, when I mentioned this deal and showed my level 4 card, they gave me $67.20 credit towards the preorder.
Which is pretty funny because I bought the game for $64, so they paid me $3.20 to give it back.

    • Will a level 2 card get a slightly more trade in credits?

    • Strange, based on simple maths you should have received $72.

      • That's also what I said. I asked them if the base trade-in was $60, and I get a 20% increase with a level 4 card, would the trade in value not be $72?
They said no as it's one of those "EB games trades" where the trade is actually a lower credit (e.g. $50 and) and they slap on $10 to get the value to $60.

Some crap along the lines of anyway.

      • The math here roughly

The trade in "VALUE" for the game is $56 (20% of 56 is $11.20), hence $67.20.
So I'm assuming, when you trade the game in WITHOUT the trade in promotions / eb world card, you only get around $46 for it?

        Sorry for the spam.

Staff member for me changed the value of the game to $60 and then my LVL 4 card applied.

$72 slapped on future preorders for me.

            /s

That's awesome, I would have loved to get $72 for it.

@ThePriceMatchGuy: For reference, these are the values:

EB World Level Towards Anything Towards a Preorder
            1 (or none) $50 $60
            2 $55 $66
            3 $57.50 $69
            4 $60 $72

Hopefully it works for everyone. MrJayyWa got ripped off.

The game had about $30 worth of content in it.

  • Do they match amazon?

    • no they only price match brick and mortar stores. (JB, BigW, Harvey, Target)

  • Nice. Gonna trade this in after RDR2 comes out and pre-order the Pokémon Switch.

  • +1

should be able to "pre order" get the bonus $ and then swap it out later for something else(id recommend at a later date). i did this last month.

    • Can definitely do. Nothing stops staff from avoiding this loophole. I put $72 ($60 trade in plus $12 for LVL 4) on Days Gone which I fully intend on cancelling Friday to pick up RDR2 for $69.

  • Can I use y 50% birthday trade bonus and get $90?

    • Says cannot combine with any offer other than EB World. I doubt it.

      • I'll take it in anyway see what happens. Its an EB World birthday promo.
