Prob wait next week it'll be 250 then.

    • i seriously paid $330 for a second hand pair without receipt and thought i got a good deal

      ffs shouldve waited

    • It will take alot longer than a week to get to that point unless you work for a store anf even then I dont think you could getnit at that price. Low $300s as we head up to Xmas sales.

    • As I mentioned in one of the other threads for this product:

      1. the price on these is dropping like a d*ck hit with a cold spoon; and
      2. unless you "need" these ASAP, a few weeks' patience will likely see some killer deals.

In just six days, the price on https://www.jbcommercial.com.au (as used for many company employee benefits programs) has dropped another $6.00:

      Black
      C: WH1000XM3B
      SKU: 339990
      $347.89

      Silver
      C: WH1000XM3S
      SKU: 339991
      $347.89

My commercial program I'm only seeing $374! Wonder why?

        • You're not commercial enough

        • I don't wonder at all.

Given the seemingly aribtrary priving levels, even within product segments for the same brand, I'm guessing it's algorithmically generated looking at data points including stock on hand, future sales campaigns, actual sell-through volume and supplier forward orders. And if $374 is appearing for you, they must also have a variable by the organisation code used to log in.

About the only thing I know for sure is the JB HiFi Solutions (aka JB HiFi Commercial) offers are not based on competitor pricing. Have seen plenty of times where the offer is significantly higher than an on-sale retail competitor.

Dam this headphone diving down too quick. REmember last month everyone suddenly become NSW alumni for $356. AT that time i thought at least not until this Xmas the price will reach the low again…but here it comes… to quick. Seems like Bose more successful to keep their product depreciation low! just like Iphone vs Samsung. I'm surprise that Sony product depreciate that quick!

I tried these on today @ Jb, comparing them to my Bose QC35's, they honestly did sound better although i'm not an audiophile expert.

Couldn't really judge comfort based off a short duration of time, but they were comfy.

  • These have dropped really quickly.

  • Can you double dip pumpkin?
    Buy 10% off gc
then 10% off headphones paying with gc?

    • +1

you can use coupons and gc so i dont see why not

edit: unless theres a coupon limit like once per acc

      • yep, one code limit, just tried. However, I guess there's nothing stopping you from making a second Ebay UK account? Just depends whether ebay AU vouchers work in UK.

    • Give a try but as far as I know you can not use AU GC card at eBay UK

I can only think of this option as mentioned in OP :)

Buy 10% off gc @ eBay UK
then 5% off headphones paying with gc at eBay AU

      • If you complete everything on eBay UK?

      • then 5% off headphones paying with gc at eBay AU

if you're gonna go down that way better off waiting for a higher % coupon

        • Higher % coupon usually comes with a price jacking haha.

      • +1

Also if you are fine with purchasing 2 you can use PACK20 to get 10% off the total. Then combine with the GCs for essentially 19% off. Probably the best deal rn (around $320 ea from Addicted to Audio).

  • are the above Process to gain 10% Off eBay AU Paypal GC card via eBay UK
    is really works?
and i need to use "ebay1" as part of my email address?

    • +2

You just need a new/dummy email. The '+ebay1' is a trick that gmail has to create infinite email accounts, which links to the original account.

  • Do you need to pay with Paypal using a card with no international charges?

    • If you follow the steps correctly, you should be paying in AUD.

  • I imagine they’re trying to slaughter Bose sale figures in the last quarter. Hopefully this means that Bose fights back.

    • heh

    • I don't know if this has anything to do with Sony. The profit margin on these is very high and they seem very popular at the moment - I think it's just competition.

      • Places like JB wouldn’t retail for 399 in that case.

  • Waiting for it to reach $300

    Sony XM3's, OzBargain's NEW eneloops.

  • Dammit!

  • +1

I still have my refurb Sony m2 in the box. Never opened. Sticking to the Bose.

    • I sold my QC35 and waited for these…but after trying in store I found the xm3 sound quality disappointing. Bose sounds much better in my opinion but it seems most people disagree with me :)

      • +3

Sound quality is subjective. One sounds good to one may sound terrible to another. It can also depend on source of music, device used (iPhone, Android, Computer etc), codec in use (AptX/HD, LDAC, SBC, AAC) etc. Too many variables and I really doubt any two people are going to be using the device in the exact same way.

Also a heads up for anyone who owns an Android device on 8.0 or higher will have LDAC baked into the OS, so can enable that and have some improvement in sound quality (upto 960kbit I believe). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LDAC_(codec)

  • You can get new one from SONY ebay as $360, just box damaged.

Buy it now price: AU $449.00
    -AU $89.80
    Your price: AU $359.20

Dunno why anyone would buy Sony or Bose headphones.

    • Cause they're the best noise cancelling options out there champ

    • sennheiser are too expensive

  • +3

Try Good Guys Commercial, if you can get access (e.g. through ACSA), it is available for $274 brand new. Godspeed.

  • I prefer these over my QC35's! Only thing that sucks is you can't clear your bluetooth paired devices without a reset, whereas QC35's did this by just holding the power toggle for 10-15 seceonds.
