  • A lot of their prices are better than Bunnings before the discount. Gonna be an expensive week again!

  • ahhhh just went in store and bought couple of things today, luckily i linked my Club card to the purchase.

you think i can get the difference refunded back?

    • -2

doubt it. haven't heard of such a thing but i could be wrong. it's thursday too. lol, probably call a far store and ask if it's possible. if not, then return and repurchase i guess?

      • +2

Balls is right. If he is already a Club member, SCA will automatically refund him the difference when a sale comes on within certain period after his initial purchase.

        • +7

Not refunded but store credit in his club member account

          • +2

@wtfnodeal: Sorry my mistake, yes you get store credit, not refund.

        • the checkout lady told me i could get the difference back if the item was on sale, however not sure if it applies to store wide sale, id assume it's the same?

Edit: she didnt specify what id get back, the refund or store credit, probably the latter.

        • Hi guys.
7 days ago i bought a club membership and a $188 car battery in the same transaction, then activated the membership 2 days later.

Do u guys think i could go in on Saturday and ask if they will refund or credit the difference since the same battery will be $36 cheaper?

The battery is not in the order section online in my account when i login of course. I do have the receipt though.

          • +1

@riddick4: It needs to be bought either online through the club member account or member card scanned in store. Unlikely but no harm trying otherwise buy another at lower price and refund it with the old receipt.

            Return policy

            • @wtfnodeal: Thanks mate. But i think if i buy another and try to refund with 9 day old receipt wont they notice?

              • @riddick4: They don't do change of mind return so you will need to come up with say the battery does not fit your car etc excuses. 9 days isn't that long but up to you if you want to go through the trouble to get $36 back.

      • +1

The club member price guaranteed should work but not refunded instead you get store credit back onto your club member account.

    • You can try getting a refund and then buy the items again, that is if you have not used or unpacked them

  • +1

Autobarn having a minimum 20% off.
    SCA 20% off.
And RACQ members in QLD will get 30% off at Repco.

    Big weekend coming up!

    • +5

      Waiting to get a 20%off a car

      • +25

This happens when you drive out with your new car out of a dealership lot

    • @chibot
Is being a lifestyle RACQ member enough to access the 30% discount? ($26/year)

    • Just need to think of something to buy… only downside is prices might just apply to RRP not the sale price.

  • been wanting a pressure cleaner. any last words?

    • Still waiting for the GERNI 130.3 to drop back down to $199 at Bunnings 🙏😔🙏

    • +5

Yeah, don't drink out of it like you would a garden hose…

    • +3

Spring for a quality one with high pressure. Cheap ones tend to be a bit of a timewaster.

  • +1
    • If you factor in Cashrewards it'll be just that little bit cheaper :)

      • +2

        Nope. Maffs.

        • +1

          Should come to $7.74. 20% off $10.49 is $8.40, 6.3% off $10.49 is $0.66 and together a total of $7.74.

          Unless I'm failing at math.

          • @Clear: no, i'm bad at reading.
i didn't use the bonus cashback number.

            fail

          • @Clear: Shouldn't it be 6.3% off $8.40? -> $7.86 final price?

            • @lomie: Yeah you're right. Some stores previously like eBay have been on the full price.

  • Autobarn has minimum 20% off on this Saturday, too.

    • +1

      Yep, posted here.

  • Damn they made a lot of their Android Auto head units Special Orders so probably not eligible for the discount :(

    • Save yourself the money.

  • Guys check sparebox. Prices are genuinely cheaper than these stores and pretty good service!

    • When they're not flat out catching up on orders and backorders due to a sale or promo code, sure. I've had delays with shipping more than once now, their service is faltering.

  • +4

I'm chasing a decent dashcam. Where am I looking this weekend?

    • Online, not through a chain

  • any recommendation for a battery charger?

don't want to spend too much (say >$100), just to keep the second car's battery charged as it goes flat every couple of months due to infrequent use.

    thx :)

    • +4

CTEK Chargers are very good and already on special at Repco. 5 AMP = $119

    • +4

I'd recommend a CTEK MXS 5.0. Just over what you want to spend at $112 on Ebay with 5% off. If your willing to wait for a better ebay sale these may drop under $100 as they have in the past.
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CTEK-MXS-5-0-12V-5AMP-SMART-BATT…

Repco have them at 25% off at the moment for $119 so should drop to $112 with the 30% off sale if that an option for you.

    • +1

For trickle charge I use a Battery fighter 12V 1.25A output microprocessor controlled 4 Stage lead acid battery charger and have owned it for around 15 years and still works really well, around $80. http://batteryfighter.com.au/shop/search/6398/lead-battery-c…

      • thanks everyone, I will probably keep an eye out for CTEK, as it seems to get mentioned alot

    • I use the Aldi one, used to be 15 or 20 bucks but I think its 25 or 30 now. Its good, auto switches to trickle, does 6v and 12v and also has a motorcycle mode. Not sure what else you need in a battery charger but mine has been faultless for years

  • Do they sell big TVs?

    • +11

Yeh… You need to get there at 6:45am. Ask for the manager. Tell them you know John.

      • What's the story behind this?

      • +3

        Oh yeah… John da Bullshita

  • how does it work online?is there a code?does it apply to already discounted item?

    • Discount automatically applied and applies to some items already on sale.

  • +3

Is the 20% off in addition to any sale prices?

  • +3

it's active now for club member online only .
just tried it,only 20% off original rrp,not applicatable to already discounted items.
    not worth it for me.

  • +1

According to SCA customer service, Club Plus cards don't get store credits for when everything goes on sale like this.
It has to be a particular item.

I suppose the workaround would be to return the items and then repurchase at the discounted price.

    • Nah I've got it in the past for 20%off days if its close enough to my last purchase

    • Can confirm, received 20% in store credit for items bought last weekend

  • +3

Loaded up my cart prior too sale, and with 20% sale its more expensive all sale items back too rrp, no trade discount this time.. nowhere near their previous sales totally not worth it..

  • Cheapest 4 pack butane gas you can get

  • +1

I expected prices to be 20% off what they were yesterday, but prices of head units I was looking at have stayed the same or gone up, and the one I most wanted is now not available in-store or by delivery :-(
Deserves a neg vote but I'd already voted positive

    • Which one were you after?

Check out the 20% off eBay sales too. BrandBeast is part of the sale and has a few headunits listed

      • Thanks.
I'm looking for a basic head unit with bluetooth and an RDS tuner, single or double DIN. Something like the Pioneer MVH-295BT (on sale $55-$65 previously).

  • +1

Gosh darn it. I always forget what I need until the sale finished.

  • They still haven’t delivered half the items I ordered from this sale.

Said one (out of the eight or so undelivered) was OOS yet it’s still available online to order. Tried to substitute with a cheaper product and I said no. The rest, no communication whatsoever, just not delivered.

On top of that, the first delivery was sent poorly packed and because they cut the delivery docket wrong, was also sent to the wrong address.
