Philips One blade is off again at Amazon AU $65 (Normally $79), not as good as the previous deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/398965) posted by @salian
For those who have not used it, its an outstanding trimmer. Only recently released in Australia, it gives the clean shave you are after with out the irritations.

      Thanks Mate, just edited it.

  • 8 hours charge for 45 mins, does this have a battery from 1975

    • Exactly avoid this one wait for a deal on the pro version with digital display

Don’t look at this, this is not accurate, I shaved 4 times (15m each) already on 1 charge and it still has juice. And I charged it for 5-6 hours.
Also the blades last more than 3 months, can go 5 months easy.

      • Yeah they may under report, but still charge time is too high for too low run time :(

I googled and I found better version in Costco with 2 extra blades but can’t see price as I am not a member, can someone check?

That's their USA website. Different country, different stock.

And not better, same basic model.

  • One blade pro is $87.20 at myer at the moment for anybody interested. Free delivery with a shipster account.

  • The adjustable comb length version is much better IMO with digital display. Was $95 recently.

    • The top pro model for $95, which is usually $149? Where?
I saw Harvey Norman had the cheaper pro model for $99 recently. Are you referring to this model?

      • Oh yes you're ,correct. Amazon sells the 6510 model which doesn't have the led display - it was $95 recently. The 6520 model (with led) is sold on amazon marketplace for $149. I purchased the 6520 last year from amazon uk on a lightning deal. Great razor.

    • Can you elaborate? How/why is it better for you?

      • It has an adjustable comb that goes from 0.4mm to 9mm from memory so you don't need to carry/store multiple combs. The lowest setting on the 6520 is 0.4mm, on the 6510 it's 0.5 and on this one it's 1mm (I use 0.4 almost exclusively). The digital display indicates time remaining. Much faster charging on both pro models (1hr vs 8hr) and longer usage per charge (1hr vs 45min).

  • I bought one before they came out in Australia, useless. Tried it again last night, still useless. For shaving that is, oh and it is a shaver. Slow and doesn't cut closely at all and leaves uncut hairs behind.

    • You might have a bad blade unless you're using it incorrectly.

    • I don't think it's meant to be a close shave, which means there's actually less irritation. However I find the shave close enough for me.

      • I actually get a very close shave. But it doesn't remove the top epidermis, which is the main difference, for me at least.

  • How does this rate against the Remington Durablade Pro - The claim is that, like a Ginsu knife, the Remington blades last forever. Or are they both useless

  • Is this good for people that get irritations and ingrown hairs? Using the $ shave razors and the irritation and razor burn/ingrown hairs feel like 2nd degree burns

    • +2

Yes find i get very little irritation id any.

    • I was in the same boat no matter what shaver I chose y skin was all red afterwards. I used the Philips one blade with shaving gel and its perfect. I would highly recommend it.
the only difference between this and the pro is the LCD display and the stand otherwise they are both the same in terms of performance.
