Softdiv PDF Split and Merge $0 (Save $36.35) @ BitsDuJour

730

Handy PDF Split and Merge software, free for another 6 hours unless extended. Normally retails for over $30 here:
https://sites.fastspring.com/softdivshareware/instant/softdi…

Please note that the T&C states that the software has to be downloaded before the promotion is over.

I've never used the product so cannot comment on how good it is.

Just tried it. Very easy to use and quick. Good if you don't have the full Acrobat Pro to be able to merge or split. Get it while you can. Now need to see how much spam I get.

Anyone not wanting spam can use 10 minute mail (https://10minutemail.com), it's super handy for this sort of thing.

Wish they have something for Mac too

    • +1

If only there was a free and opensource app with the same name, that has been mentioned numerous times in this thread that worked on Mac….

Isn't it built into mac os? Preview does an ok job

      • +4

Yes, opening multiple pdf files on the mac with preview with thumbnail view - you can drag and drop the thumbnails in to other pdf files to merge/split

  • Can PDF Sam work as a PDF printer (ie For converting file to PDF format) ? I know windows 10 has build in PDF printer but earlier windows doesn’t. Thanks.

    • Just download PDF creator

      • Thanks for the suggestion, but Wikipedia say this is AdWare. Would prefer a free open source one if possible.

        • I'm using an older version of PDFCreator (1.2.0) that doesn't have Adware. Have had no issues under Windows 10 with it. I also believe it is open source.

Chrome has excellent Save as PDF feature built-in - much better than PDF printer driver (for Web pages).

Thanks so much for this … and suggestions for PDF sam …. desperately needed them a few months ago … and couldnt find a good free one, so these options are great to know.

  • great

  • Can i use for editing pdf I desperately needed

  • Got it, ta op!

its ridiculous to see how the original could be $36.35 when you could do the same thing after learning some ghostscript or fiddling with a bunch of free pdf libraries/apps on github…thats why its now free

  • +2

    Expired - $20 now.

  • Just tried it and it’s dropping the quality of the PDF’s I’m merging.

    Anyone else seeing this?
