SanDisk Extreme Go (SDCZ800) USB 3.1 64GB $43 + Delivery (Free C&C Enfield NSW) @ SkyComp Technology

60

Been waiting for this to go on sale for a few months without much luck, so this is the cheapest price I could find for the SanDisk Extreme Go USB 3.1 64GB (SDCZ800).

Managed to get OW to price match it (over the phone, given no stores in Sydney seem to be showing stock), so got it for $40.85.

In terms of write speed for a 64GB USB, this is up there.

Didn't want to bother with a SATA SSD + enclosure.

Hope this helps someone else.

    • Not local stock, it's a HK based seller. But good find regardless. I was after local stock.

  • Have one of these in 128gb, good bit of kit.

  • I would spend the extra $6 on one of these.

Write speeds are quite poor on those.. and this was an important consideration for me. I will be copying files on the USB on a regular basis.

It's like comparing a cheetah to a warthog.
The Sandisk is super quick and runs cool. The Samsung is slower, gets warmer in use but has greater capacity.

      • That's a good point, I only compared the capacities and read speeds.

        • That's like comparing an SSD but neglecting to take into consideration the write speed.

          • @hollykryten: Right, did you ever consider that write speed may not be important to everyone?
