I use glaco ultra, easily lasts 6+ months. Will probably only find on eBay etc tho.

    • Thanks, I've heard mixed things about RainX, however glaco ultra sounds like a good option. Might give it a try instead.

Look like wax but with applicator build-in, thx I will try glaco ultra later and see how it go. Got the rain-x but not last long like 1 month max.

This is just a glass cleaner with a repellent built in, not the full repellent.

  • Last time I used a rain repellent and it didn't end well. It just smudged my windscreen which made it harder to see. I had a hell of a time in trying to get the stuff out. This swore me off with any such products.

I might give this a try the second time around and see what happens.

    • I use a glass polish like autoglym. I find it work really well and lasts a while - obviously works like the others, the more swipes of the blades the shorter the life span.

    • Probably didnt polish it off properly before which caused the smudging? The residue it leaves after application takes a bit of effort to fully remove and i generally have to change the cloth

      • Used as directed (clean windscreen, apply, polish off with a dry cloth) I've never had any problems with Rain-X repellent but I guess environments differ? Works a treat. Old wiper blades won't help.

I use Nu Finish polish and it's great.
