Alright, so ironing is the most painful part of my week, I’m contemplating dropping them in and getting them pressed but I feel I don’t earn enough money to justify that.
My current iron is a piece of shit and it takes me a good 15 minutes to iron a shirt and that’s after almost soaking it to get the creases out (I consider myself a decent ironer as well).
What’s decent on the market? I see people putting the Braun models up on here from Amazon, these tend to be around $30-$50 or so. Happy to pay more if it is going to be that much better, I just want something that is quality and can get the job done quickly.
Thoughts?
The best advice I was ever given is to put the shirts in the clothes dryer. To save electricity, I normally put them on the line until the are almost dry and then give them 10 minutes in the dryer. Pull them out while they are still hot and shake them. Doing this cuts the ironing effort in half.
I bought the Braun TexStyle 7 in one of last year's deals and I'm happy with it. The only caveat is that it's a large iron and weighs 1.4kg so if you have doubts about the size, check it out in a shop.
