Safe Parking around Tullamarine for a Couple of Days?

Hi all,
Heading over from interstate to pickup a car from Manheim auctions in Altona North. Thought I'd make a trip of it and go to the snow for 2 days. Going to hire a Jucy Car from airport, would like to pick up the car and leave it somewhere near Jucy (Silicone Pl near Tullamarine airport), head up to the snow in Jucy Car, come back after hours, pick up car, drop Jucy off head back home.

Is it safe around there on side of road somewhere for 2 nights? maybe slighty north in Westmeadows suburbs near Mickleham Rd?

  just park it at one of the offsite airport parks for $10/day? .. 2 days @ 10/day is cheaper than $500 for potentially towing, impound and fine…

      i usually use busy beaver which is part of the larger, Andrew's Group - google "busy beaver shop a docket" and you'll find either 15% or 20% coupon to stack in true OzB style. From memory it's $15/day for undercover or $10/outdoors.

  Parking in a residential street is safe except for nosey neighbours wondering why a random car has suddenly appeared outside their house. I'd be tempted to park it at the McDonald's on Mickleham Rd or the shopping centre opposite. Neither have signed parking restrictions as far as I know.

  Of course for peace of mind there's plenty of secure airport parking businesses in the area which shouldn't set you back any more than $30 for the two days.

  The airport has a GASP carpark….. Why not use it?

  Plan B is forget the snow.. Is there a bus that goes anywhere near altona from the airport? Google comes up with nothing, but looks like a bus down the road a bit. If not, taxify / Uber I guess.

    sky bus into the city and train out from there, or take the 901 bus to the station and then into the city, then out from there
