Just found this deal on ebay US. I've tried purchasing something and can testify that it works. You will need a US ebay account for this to work.

I've tried this on gift cards and it does not work. Can only be used once per account.

You need to find something that is over US$5. I found a usb c cable from an Australian seller for US$5.01 (A$6.94). I added it to the cart, applied the coupon code and paid US$0.01 for the cable.

The same cable is selling for $4.49 through ebay Australia.

Another good deal is the Xiaomi Mijia 0.5mm Metal Sign Pen - GOLDEN for $0.06. This is selling for $6.99 through ebay Oz (thanks doweyy).

Oh, for the 1c cost, I didn't bother about cashback. But if you're really keen, there is 1% cashback through Cashrewards.

Instructions (thanks Blue Cat)

Open Private Browsing Window
Go to ebay.com (not .com.au)
Register using fake United States address
If asked for phone number, press "Remind Later"
Add pen to cart
Press checkout
Now you will be forced to add a phone number, just change your number format from US to AU
Confirm with AU number
Apply coupon

Looks like you can use it multiple times to, thank you OP!

    • Oh, didn't notice that. Now I need to spend a few more cents!

      • +1

        Sorry about that :)

    • +1

      I tried:

You already applied this code to an order.

    • +1

I couldn't :( "You already applied this code to an order."

      • Yep, only once. Choose wisely!

    • I definitely did two separate orders with that code, weird. Maybe I got lucky?

      • I had that happen with a code once, certainly didn't complain!

    • Didn't work for me. Could only use it once. Damn!

    • You're only supposed to use it once, but I think if you have multiple buy-it-now windows open you can apply the code to each order and then quickly place them all at the same time.

  • Who's eligible for the Coupon?
eBay users who have not purchased on eBay in the past twelve (12) months are eligible to redeem the Coupon. Sorry, no forwarding—Coupon is not transferable.

    • +2

Well it must be broken because I used the same ebay account yesterday for the 15% off..

      • Worked for me and I bought the Nvidia Shield yesterday on US Account.

        Thanks OP.

  • +3

We ran into a problem. Please try again later.
Do I need to change something other than registration address?

    • The same is here…

    • +2

You can't change anything for this one, the account needs to have been only in the US in it's entirety it seems.

      • so, a new US account then? :)

        • +1

If only lol, I added this to the title because it was supposed to be targeted at accounts that hadn't purchased in 12 months, but seems to be open to all accounts made pre-sale as per some comments here

eBay US Account Required Made Before Yesterday

@doweyy: Worked for me with a new account. But only once :(

            • +2

@Ametric: I've updated the title to remove this -

              • +1

@Taegukgi: thank you, can confirm that it worked only once (saying that the code has been already used on the second attempt on the same account). :)

        • Yes. You have to make a new account.

  • +2

Damn. You win this time ebay. You win this time…

  • It worked btw. Thanks OP

  • +1

The new US account I made yesterday for the 15% off sitewide deal is accepting the code on my end.
    Nice one :D

  • I'm getting "This code can't be applied to your order". I created this account weeks back for another eBay US 10% off deal. Will this only work on brand new accounts???

    • +1

Did for me IF the first address I entered was a US address. Made three accounts, the one without a US address entered first didn't work.

      • Thanks, I tried again. Working now.

  • got it! Thanks op!

  • Is the expiry time at 4pm, 30 Sep 2018 Syd/Mel time?

  • +3

Gearbite have listed the Mijia Golden Sign Pen here for $0.06 AUD Delivered (after the code) if anyone was looking for one

    • Remember to remove the .au for this to work.

Edit - added to OP. Thank you

    • +2

I clicked your link and got AUD5 off without any minimum spend coupon code (unique code) in a popup :O
Used in Ebay AU :D Thanks mate!

      • +1

created US ebay account using random US address.
in check out page added 2nd address (Aus based) for delivery.

when adding stuff to my cart I got an error message "The item you've selected was not added to your cart.' - just selected what I needed and hit "buy-it-now"

  • +1

  • Cool thanks op. I needed a long HDMI so only paid like $1 for a 5m one! I had to make a new USA account but easy as!

    • Care to share the link?

      • I'll have to post it when I get home as my pH is almost dead and I bought it using a new random eBay account on my PC. All I did was list cheapest to dearest hdmi then I think it was the third choiche. I selected the 5m length as it was about $5.38 USD.

  • +2

    … I didn't bother about cashback.

Do you kiss your mother with that mouth, chibot?

    • P.S. I grabbed the pen đź‘Ť

  • Cheers OP. It works :)

    I bought a belkin car charger for $5.02 :)

  • +1

Doesn't work for me on my us account

  • Anyone else having to pay GST? It doesnt count towards the minimum $5US payment

    • +2

if you are not getting it shipped from an Oz seller to an Oz address then you will pay GST.

hence , buy from a Oz based seller.

      • Couldnt find a way to filter out oz sellers, like in ebay AU.
        Is it possible somehow?

        • +1

Use eBay au. Then when you find your item, remove .au from the url

  • +1

    Got the pen..thanks

  • Also got:
"We ran into a problem. Please try again later."

Tried Win10 and Latest Chrome & Firefox.

  • Just verified that it works for combined items as well. So you can buy like 5 $1 items instead of 1 $5 item.

  • Awesome code, got an RCA-to-3.5mm cord for 50c

  • lool accounts getting banned 5 mins after orders go through

    • Did you get a refund or do you think the order will go through?

      • so far no refund or cancellation emails

    • banned? why would they ban someone for using a coupon code?

      • New accounts get banned. Old/existing accounts with history seem to be fine

        • Your account is suspended. Users whose accounts are suspended must resolve any outstanding issues. Please resolve all outstanding complaints and try again.

  • Thanks mate :D Bought a Kingston DT100G3 32GB pen drive for just 3 bucks :)

  • So this coupon only works with accounts opened from eBay.com, and not just by changing the default registration address to the US (for an existing AU account) and logging into the US site?

    • +2

yes, only accounts created on US site with US primary address

      • Thanks.

      • -1

So you buy an item on eBay US and send to US?

        • There are two addresses. One is registration address which has to be an US address. Then there's the Delivery address which you can change to Australia.

          • -1

@DealHunterBD: Thanks for that just I don't understand why morons like the neg button so much.

    • Definitely not Xiaomi and probably sound like a tin can…

  • +1

Eligible items exclude warranties and protection plans, as well as items from the Coins & Paper Money, Gift Cards & Coupons, and Real Estate categories.

Max one-time use. Limited quantities available.

Maybe that's why accounts getting banned?

    • +2

Fake cards as per Seller Feedback.

      • +1

thanks, mate, didn't see those, as the price is around 8 bucks everywhere now, didn't think about it…

        • +2

Yeah, always check feedback for MicroSD's…one of the most counterfeited items sadly. (Just as a note for everyone) - for sellers with a lot of feedback, I'd suggest using Feedback Selector which lets you search for feedback regarding a specific product from a seller.

          • +1

@donnot: Cheers bud that feedback selector thingo should come in handy someday :)

  • Cheers OP :)

Btw I had a seller cancel an order straight away without any explanation (the no feedback account must have had something to do with it I'm thinking) so probably best to send the seller a message saying that you are legit and only using a no feedback account to use an eBay promo code.

    • why sellers bother if they received payments? :)

      • +7

Probably didn't help that my name just so happens to be Pablo Escobar.

  • Your account is suspended. Users whose accounts are suspended must resolve any outstanding issues. Please resolve all outstanding complaints and try again.

  • +3

Well I bought as many dick pills as I could that came under 10c total.

Now to see how many actually go through…

    • +6

      Got a link…umm…for a friend?

    • Hey care to share the link for my neighbour? Cheers!

  • Thanks OP and Bluecat, picked up a bunch of car stuff on multiple accounts. Lets hope they aren't filtering through IP or shipping address to disqualify multiple orders.
