Just bought a Canon Ixus 130 camera for $189 from Harvey Norman.

My local goodguys in Glynde, SA had a special on them for $199 (stock only) and offered a cash price of $189. I wanted pink though, and only pink one left was display model.

Went to Harvey Norman, and they matched it after going through a few levels of people. New one in box.

reg price on box $319. Have receipt of course, but that's alot of effort to scan and upload! Shouldn;t need it, as they didn'e even call the GOod Guys to check.

    Not a huge bargain, the RRP is the price it was when released. I bought the same camera from harvey norman Knox advertised for $189 in Nov 2010,

    However the photo quality of the IXUS is something left to be desired (especially when compared to a $80 camera):

      I had the IXUS 120 and was pretty happy with the picture quality, low-light performance wasn't the best but then that's not a surprise from a point and shoot.

        By no means it isn't. However, I was just pointing out that a $74 Canon Powershot A495 delivers better photo quality (hence with the link above for comparison shots). :)

    I have loved all my Canon ixus cameras! So I hope this one isn;t terrible. I especially like the color accent feature, as I an USELESS at gettign around to doing the same thing using computer software…..

    IS the deal here, that I go to HN and tell them (lie) that I got quoted a price of $189 at Goodguys? What if my local HN do call?

      They never do.

      They can either sell it to you at the price you want, or can't and will tell you so.
