if anyone is considering this, you'd be better off paying the extra $62 for the Parlux 385 powerlight or one of the newer models if you are willing to spend $20-50 more than that. I have had the older model (3800) for 5 years and it's the best thing i've ever bought, I also see them used in salons all the time which is a testament to how well they work and their build quality. They're consistently the number 1 recommended dryer brand every time I see threads on Facebook asking. For price vs quality I don't think you can beat it. It used to take me 30 minutes to dry my hair and would end up as a frizzy mess which would then need to be straightened for 15 minutes, now it takes me 10 minutes and is straight enough that I don't have to do anything else to it.

I have the babybliss curlers and their travel hairdryer and frankly am not that impressed with them, I can also only find 1 review with a quick search on this dryer.

    • Might as well pay $499 for a Dyson Supersonic. Best selling hair dryer on ozbargain. Got wet hair? no worries Dyson will dry it

I don't agree unless you really want the best of the best and spend a lot of time on your hair to justify it. I may be tempted to get a Dyson when mine stops working but I have long thick hair and use it very often. Most people will not pay for or need a $499 hair dryer though so I think the Parlux is definitely the better value product, especially compared to the Babybliss for those who want a fantastic and reliable product but not have to sell a kidney for it. The $250 extra will cut your drying time from maybe 10 to 6 minutes and is quieter than parlux, as well as more comfortable to hold due to the motor being in the handle. For some people that's worth it shrug
