Includes the chance to win a Golden Ticket for one of the Block 2018 apartments.
$89 everywhere else. $75.65 Using the code above.
I'll most likely re-sell mine on eBay without the Golden Ticket to recoup some of the cost.

Why won't you buy the much cheaper original version of Monopoly and buy this stupid more expensive The Block version?
Edit: Original version is like $25. So people really want to pay at least $50 for that Golden Ticket to win the apartment?
The reason some will is because the odds are much better than similar competitions like RSL Art Union prize home. I've read that there are 120000 to be sold.
Each to their own I suppose.
Like Liam Neeson said in Taken: Good luck.
@edfoo: Paç fat (Albanian for good luck)
Woohoo, blessed ones, sect freak edition of monopoly, which character will you choose, that has found its bright sect freak light at the end of the tunnel… How much will you pretend, act and shed false drama tears to sell yourself, stay tuned.
It’s not even that great. The only thing special is you get Scott’s face on the middle of the board
I just vomited in my mouth at the notion that this exists
OP name does not check out.
This is overpriced for monopoly with the block skin
Can I buy this edition ,adn then scratch the guys face and any other reference to the block?
What the hell is this shit?
Effectively, this is just a different way of buying a ticket in to a home lottery, which normally costs about $100. You just happen to get a terrible version of monopoly with it here.
So this should be in the competitions?
no.. because for what it is (although an overpriced monopoly game) it is a deal compared to the RRP/sale price out there. (and a competition post is up there for those who want to enter after buying their overpriced monopoly game)
@Roman, @FireRunner
You're correct. The substance of this 'deal' is a lottery ticket. Yes, it may be dressed up to look like a game, but when the 'game' component is less than 1/3 of the cost, the mods will hopefully recognise this for what it is - a lottery and only permit it in the competition listings.
Sorry OP, this does seem to be the cheapest price available, but there's really nothing special about this edition. Difficult to justify paying more than about $40 for a monopoly set. The difference is a lottery ticket.
No one is buying this for the game so relax people. $75 for a 1 in 120,000 chance at a $2m house, considering the cost of lottery tickets etc. Plus I doubt they will sell all 120,000 units in time so odds go up. Having said that, if they do sell 120,000 units, they just banked $9m for a $2m home, minus $3m to create units, retailer profits & marketing …. roughly $2-3m profit plus all the free marketing and publicity. Smart
Exactly, which is why this should be listed as a 'competition', not as a 'deal'.
I'm with you part of the way there. Except competitions don't usually have a buy in requirement … Call it a lottery or raffle and I'm sold!
I felt great despair when I saw this "deal" had been posted. It is with great relief that I see others have similar thoughts regarding the product and it's value. My faith in humanity is restored.
But what's this business about winning $2,000,000 of real estate? A very quick look online didn't provide much detail. You get a code, you register the code, and then… ??? An entry is randomly selected and someone wins the apartment?
In their Ts and Cs. Opportunity to enter into a draw. 10 finalists. Plus be expected to do interviews and promos if you're one of the lucky 10. No thanks.
I would happily donate $89 to Channel Nein if they promise to axe that blocktard and his blockwit packed renovation show.
Who wanted this?
Considering it's in the top three most watched programs of any kind in Australia each year, I'd imagine quite a few!
While I enjoy the show, I'd not consider buying this in any way though, not a fan of 'themed' Monopoly sets. Original only for me!
I work for Nine so have a little context around it.
It was dubbed as 'the biggest prize ever given away on Australian TV' (although you have to buy the game to be eligible to enter). You buy the board, you get a 'golden ticket' in there which contains a unique code that you register to give you one entry in the draw to win one of the new apartments in The Gatwick from the current season of the show, worth an estimated $2-3 million.
Yes, it's a lot more than a normal edition of Monopoly, and yes, it's primarily aimed at those who want to win an apartment, or are massive fans of The Block.
I'm done.
Let me off this ride.
