Pretty decent scam. They’re selling 120,000 copies at $89 each for an inferior copy of a game that normally sells for $25. That’s over $10 million if they sell the lot. Not a bad idea!
Pretty insane! Though where did you see that it's limited to 120,000 copies? I didn't see it in the terms and conditions? I figure if they sell out there's enough time until December for them to keep making them for that extra $$$.
This is a joke. I cant believe the lotteries commision approved this as a "trade promotion". Someone out there in a position of power please do something about this…
How can grossly inflating a products price to cover the cost of the prizes be considered a trade promotion? No other licensed Monopoly has EVER sold for anywhere near this amount.
Marketing a childs game (rated 8+) for a chance to win a $2M apartment is disgraceful.
hmmm no one is forcing anyone to buy it. Much better odds than winning lotto or powerball!! I got mine. $76. I essentially paid for an entry- not the game itself. Some of the official sellers are flogging it for $100
Where did you buy it?
Where did you get it for $76? As far as I could tell the only official retailer selling it are the Block shop itself and Big W at $89?
I got it at big w $89, minus staff discount 10% = $80.10 paid for with 5% off e gift card = $76
I found a way. If you are a Suncorp customer (or their other brands like AAMI) you can access 15% off Block Shop egift cards in the Suncorp App.
Have they specified anywhere which apartment? I cant seem to find the details
