  • Can anyone share their experiences of using these Aldi tents? Assume that if purchased, the tent would be used on a very casual basis.

    • +1

We bought a 10 person tent a few years ago and it's still going well. We go camping 2-3 times a year.

    • Would like to know too. Are these tents the same as the ones in previous Aldi sales? There have been comments about them being the same or similar to OzTrail and Coleman? Can anyone confirm?

      • +1

I can confirm they are as good as Coleman. But Im speaking from the perspective of a casual camper, 2-3 times per year.

  • From what I can gather the tents are manufactured by OzTrail and are copies of the BlackWolf instant tents that sell for thousands of dollars. They are great tents but very bulky to store.

  • And here I am pushing my own toy car with my legs like a sucker …

  • Any opinions on the bike? Or is it the first time its been sold?

  • Has anyone used the electric toy car? Any idea on quality of the car and the battery system? How long will the charge last? Does it degrade very quickly? Are replacement batteries available?

Just buy a Tesla, will much better.

always get the 12v at least. The 6v ones will quickly become underpowered for kids above 4 years old. We've got both 6 and 12v and what a big difference they were to each other.

      • 12V $199 at Target from tomorrow.

  • Any feedback on the deepcycle battery?

    • +1

      I don't know anything about it but it's a bit expensive.. .

Wouldnt buy a 38 amp hour, it will be quite useless in terms of capacity. Remember with a lead acid you can really only use half the quoted capacity so in this instance 19 amps - with a fridge running on say 5 amps that is 3 hours of use. Theoretically.

  • I dont know if the sale is still on, but Anaconda had the Waeco CF40 for sale in store at $499 (Penrith). With a longer warranty and proper brand behind it at the same cost, this presents a better deal on a fridge.
