I must have had a good OW employee. I have shown a copy of the discounted price (in eBay checkout) and the OW rep said, "yep no worries - It'll be 5% off that". That was with a modem I bought and they were happy to beat the eBay discounted price by 5%.

It's a good phone, but I really can't stand the poor positioning of the fingerprint reader. It's also very small and takes roughly 3 seconds to unlock.
Yea exactly, if the s8 had the same placement of the finger reader of the s9 it wuda been awesome.
Just replaced my Huawei P9 with S8+ and I cannot agree more on your comment! The fingerprint reader is awfully slow as compared to the one on P9.
I have had the S8+ since launch day (maybe even a couple of days before actually) and the positioning has never really bothered me, you get used to it and I'm never searching around for it or anything like that… I understand that's a personal opinion though.
However the 3 seconds to unlock thing is totally wrong in my experience, have just sat here and unlocked my phone 10 times with fingerprint just to make sure I'm not dreaming, but it took less than 1sec every time… Certainly I've never noticed a 3 second delay before. I don't know if you need to re-register your fingerprints or if there is something else going on with your phone…
The fingerprint scanning algorithm is fine, however it's the physical positioning that makes it hard to reach. If you have MKBHD-sized hands you won't have a problem reaching the sensor, but for anyone with smaller than average hand sizes they'll have to adjust their hand hold to reach that awkwardly placed sensor on the back.
I use a Spigen Armor case on it too, so it's also quite difficult to reach it since the sensor is no longer flush, but recessed inside the cutout.
