POLLEN

Posted a few times in the past and based on my own experience with a few of them I can highly recommend! This is the cheapest they've been for a while but I'd say postage will be high if not in a capital city.

I’ll just place this here. https://youtu.be/n0SIGOGXnII

  • Looking good Steve.

  • FYI, these take a LONG time to heat. 1-2 degrees per hour. so for most purposes a full day before it's spa temperature.

    • Yep, as per the notes in my previous deal in the link above… 7-10 hours to get to temp. This also exposes the running costs too as that heatup time will set you back about $5. More notes in that link so be sure to have a read.

  • Would have bought, but needed to factor in fencing for any pool/spa that can hold more than 30cms deep of water. And the fence requires a council permit and inspection. Bugger…..

They can't make you fence your loungeroom.

    • The council can suck my balls

  • This is getting terrible review…. but I still want one for the lounge room… ahhh yeeeah soaking and Gaming

  • Backyard already has locked fence/gate 1 side, and fence that does not open on other side, all about 1.2metres or higher all round.
Would I still need an extra fence for this ? If left in backyard.

Best to check your own local council requirements to be sure.

  • Anyone know the difference between this one and this one?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bestway-Inflatable-Spa-Outdoor-P…

    • $70… seriously! It looks identical in every other way. Odd.

    • doubt there's any difference, most likely discounted the product and put it in another listing. I note that one has free postage while OP's one costs around $15-20, so in sum it is about a $50 difference for me (which is not that peculiar).

  • So a tonne distributed over a 180cm x 180cm (rough) area. Would that be feasible in an apartment (structually - I'm no engineer)… What about a large balcony?

Also in terms of drainage, is it fairly straight-forward? I've read the manual here: https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/p360fileupload/Manual/934… but I can't really find details of how well/quickly it drains. I understand it takes 12 hours (and $5-7 at least in power) to heat up but if it's a struggle to drain in an indoor apartment then maybe not (I understand it will probably take at least 1/2 hour to fill - don't mind the power and time issues; just worried about noise, weight and drainage). Also how loud does it run?

One other thing; is the 'Lay-Z-Spa' decal easy to strip? It does look a bit unsightly.

Anyone who has owned one, dealt with one, thank you in advance.

With concerns such as these I don't think this is the product for you… but let me try to give you some answers:

      1. Only an Engineer could give you the absolute answer to your first question/s
      2. Drainage is easy, just use one of the supplied caps to cover one of the jets from the inside then disconnect the pipe, replace it with the supplied hose adaptor and attach a hose. Remove the cap and bingo, 900L of water will begin to flow. I've never timed the drain as I just let it run but I'd say it'd take about 30-45mins at a guess.
      3. The Pump & Heater cycles produce an expected 50Hz hum… not loud at all however when you just want a quiet late night dip it's far nicer without the pump on. Using the Bubbles makes a big noise, like an old-skool vacuum cleaner mixed with the bubbly water sounds so yes, you'll easily annoy your neighbours with the bubbles… unless they're in the Spa with you ;) I personally don't use the Bubbles and prefer to use the unit more like a Hot Tub.
      4. Can't remove the Logo, it looks to be 'welded' or vulcanised onto the PVC. Maybe vinyl paint?
      • Thank you!

I have a friend who is an engineer and she is looking into it tomorrow.

Maybe I can cover the logo with something or maybe it will look more unsightly…

As for the price it has gone up by $50 hmmm…
