I was waiting for that :D
You can easily avoid it by listing an item in the title/description as suggested in the Deal Posting Guidelines.
Think of Ozbargain as a shop window, and spend 15 minutes adding 200-300 example bargains.
Your 'edit' button is between 'view' and 'revisions'.

Fat chance that will happen. Not supporting them anytime soon.
Bad experience?
Interesting, considering they dropped sponsoring the Bulldogs giving the reason that, because they are floating on ASX next year they need a "squeaky clean" image.
Apparent blatant copyright infringement ain't so squeaky clean…
Other than the comment m9 linked to, they're grossly overpriced.
For example, a momentary push button is $5AUD from Jaycar, whereas the exact same one, right down to the model, is only $0.45 from AliExpress. Another example, a simple Arduino Nano (ATMega328) from Jaycar is $30AUD, the same one is $3AUD from AliExpress.
Yes, I know I should support local business, and I usually attempt to help out small business owners with electronics and similar other items. I used to shop at Jaycar, but their pricing is just ridiculous and I haven't even thought about stepping foot in their store for a long while now.
I guess you pay the premium for walking in off the street, paying and walking away with the product in minutes rather than waiting 6 weeks…
Just saying…
Agreed on their pricing. If it's just a single item that I need, I'll make the round trip to Jaycar, and be back home in 15 minutes. Sure beats a month-long wait from Aliexpress. However, for multiple items, that price premium really adds up.
@vinnycol: 10x the amount is a pretty steep premium. I'm not waiting 6 weeks though, I usually opt for ePacket and have it in 5 business days for only a dollar extra or so.
Even their standard shipping is around 7 business days for me.

Jaycar is owned by Gary Johnson - hardly a small business owner, and has some very polarising political ideals - google him for more information.
@thevofa: Suppose I should've worded it better.
I mean, support other businesses that are small.
Really not a bargain to be had here. Small range and only 25pc off.
The only thing jaycar does well is availability…
And they are getting worse and worse at availability too. They're more of a cheap gadget shop rather than the hobbyists electronic component supplier they used to be.
This is an online sale only.
Shipping is $7 up to $99 items.
The battery tester is $40 discounted to $30, plus shipping, so $37. Kills the deal a bit…
Look there, shop China.
Please PLEASE look into and support Element14.
Ive used them once before, and thought the amazing service was a fluke.
However i just purchased more from them.
I spent 45aud so got free shipping, and from ordering (3pm yesterday) to delivery (9am today) shipped from Sydney to Brisbane, i couldnt be more bloody thrilled.
I tried jaycar, but its just so much commercial crap.
I was simply trying to buy a roll of NON 60/40 solder. Not stocked.
For $5 more i got some 62/36/2 Sn/Pb/Ag.
Any bargains?
