Thanks, OP. This is good for people like me who have already used Penny5 3 times on their eBay plus account

You can use PENNY5 unlimited times, just checkout as a guest on desktop version ;)

Careful, the ebay police are members here…. loophole being closed in 5….4…..3…..

      • True. that's why I mentioned eBay plus bit. For some deals it's better to have ebay plus with free shipping and for rest of them I got 2-3 backup ebay accounts

The new minimum spend is now $50, just an FYI.

    • Sneaky! Penny5 was rip long ago for me.

Thanks guys, that's some good scrimshaw.

Looks like this may have a early end date unlike the others. When I hover over "Show me How"

Enter code at checkout to redeem. Hurry, your coupon expires 30/09/18. Terms and conditions apply.

i'll pull the PLUG, if ebay au doesn't give us at least 15% off sitewide.

    • +4

      that's only 5%off, after 10% gerry's tax

      • Your comment deserve way more up votes.

  • When is eBay’s Aussie Anniversary? They turn 19 right? So shouldn’t we receive 19% off soon??

    • +2

Wouldn't be surprised if it's 19% selected sellers, considering their sitewide codes have been becoming less and less generous over the years.

    • 21st September I reckon it will probably be site wide, but maybe they'll bump the minimum spend up higher?
19% off selected sellers would be worse than most of their normal sales…
Or it'll be 19% site wide for eBay Plus members…

Meanwhile, ebay continues to leave their cart system broken. Despite saying 10 items in the T&C, my cart would not allow multiple items beyond 3 (that's 3 different items from multiple sellers, not a quantity of 3). After multiple calls and complaints, they raised my limit to 5 items! Doesn't help me if I'm just buying $2 cables/adaptors/photographic screws and knick-nacks. I can't get to the minimum spend, so these discount codes are worthless in the end. Even without the discount, I want to check out with 25 or 30 sellers' items, like I used to be able to do.

Their whole website is wierd as shit.

You can check shipping tracking with some orders. You refresh the page the shipping link just appears and doesn't appear at random.

Sometimes search doesn't show things and then does show things.

Even their email confirmations have changed for the worse as well. They used to include a picture of your item purchased with the description, I just moved the message to a pending folder on my email program so I could keep track of orders and search for things. Now I just get a text description, but the email is full of pictures and descriptions of things I've already bought or just looked at. A search now returns dozens of incorrect hits just because of the ads.

This is what happens when you let the work-experience kid implement all these changes that you think are cool, without actually thinking things through.

    • 4 diff sellers with 9 items total and code worked fine for me without issue. Maybe they fixed it?

  • Had a similar issue. Chatted with eBay and they have me a voucher for the discount that was supposed to apply at cart check out.

    • They only did that for me once, but the couple of dollars didn't compensate me for all the grief. Silly me, I should have stacked my cart with a bunch of expensive stuff I had no intention of buying, hoping they'd give me a 20% percentage voucher credit :)

  • Geez there’s a lot of sales going on. Hopefully the birthday sale is still going to happen!

WTF eBay Aus, fire your marketing team… BS eBay Plus and substandard deals…and I can't even purchase from multiple vendors anymore… at least my bank balance is happy.

  • sth sth amazon….not working hard enough to push ebay to go for more discounts..

  • maximum of a $500 discount per transaction

That should help ease the pain of the $10,000 spend needed to obtain the discount.

  • 5%, why is everyone so happy

    • maybe as something is better than nothing for some

    • better than 10-20% off with huge price up.
you may pay more in that situation.

It works on second hand items and auction + Best offer as well, and it can be from any seller (even non-business). You're not limited to Buy It Now listings from the usual big-box retailers.

  • When does this end?

  • Thanks, used to buy some items today.

  • Anyone tried it post midnight and can confirm it's definitely expired?
