    • +1

At topbargain site and also browse the Amazon product page you will find the same code at bottom too under special offers :)

      • Ah I see I bought one Cheers

        • 😊👍

the Kmart one seems to be cheaper and has similar specs for $10 with no adaptor included. This one definitely looks better.

I'm replacing one of those sorts of pumps with this. My old one jumped around like a thing posessed and struggled to reach a decent pressure. Will see how this one goes.

      • +2

The Kmart style ones also get scorchingly hot to touch. I tried to move it while it was going and it seared me!

        • +1

Yep. Been burnt by mine as well.

      • Good to know! Thank you

I had many Kmart ones and replaced with this few months ago,
      This is truly 10x better.
      1. This one is compact and easy to keep in the car.
      2. This one pumps faster and stronger. This one works.
3 The psi pressure actually reads. The Kmart one has a loose arrow in the meter, like a toy. 9/10 breaks after short use.
      4. Heat, the Kmart ones get hot very easily, this one is fully enclosed and not hot to touch.
      5. The Kmart ones are noisy and vibration +++.
      6. If you keep Kmart ones in the car, they often break after less than 12 months and few uses. The micro vibration of engine will shake the metal screws and parts apart in the pump.

Difference is like Fantastic furniture and Kings. Worth to invest.
      Hope this helps.

      • I paid $26

Wow.. That really helpful info. Thanks for sharing

  • $8 delivery as well, unless you're with Amazon prime. I've ordered one - Hopefully the pump is good!

    Thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP! Brought one. Is there any adapter that I can use to connect to a 240V outlet?

    • +2

where did you bring it from? :)

      • Sorry, auto correction messed it up. Don't think I can edit it now. :)

    • +1

Depending on the specs, you can get something like this

That's what I bought for my Michelin one to use in the garage.

      • @nickxau Thank you. That should work.

  • +1

Being a complete No Knowledge on such things, what strain does this put on the car's battery? Is it best to have the engine running to relieve the impact on the battery?

    Woops, forgot - "thanks OP".

    • Engine should be running. And will be mentioned in the manual too

      • Yep best to have engine running, you can run without but not recommended as it may drain + pump won't run as fast

      • Thanks udyz & apptrack.

  • +1

Won't be so good for 4wding unless you want to wait around for 20 mins for all four tires

    • Agreed. I can't see any current or wattage specs, so it's probably really weak.
Cigarette lighter sockets aren't really suitable for pumping tyres. You get max 10a out of them.

I wouldn't waste my money on this.

      • That's what I thought……wife thought entirely(LOL) different……so if the possible driver is physically weaker maybe consult them first.

Also "time" is no air to full air, if just a topup should be far less you'd think.

        • +1

Takes approx 8 mins to fill from empty.

When 4wding probably on 10psi to fill to 32-40.

          So around 5 mins.

I've used cigarette charger ones before, never again personally.

        • Depends on the tyre and rim size. A large 4WD tyre stores a lot more air.
Don't forget this thing only has a 50% duty cycle. It'll need to rest for 10 minutes after every 10 minutes running.

  • Seems a bit slow

  • my primes finished

  • +1

    Thanks. I got one

  • …so mine arrived this morning. I plan to use it mainly on bike tyres so it should pump those up fairly quickly. I also have a portable 12v SLA battery (eg http://www.radioparts.com.au/product/03538080/sc006-7ah-12v-…) so I don't have to drag things over to the car to pump them up.
