  • Thanks Mate..just brought the thorfire 8s. With priority shipping, it comes 30.38 dollars.

  • Is the included 18650 any good?

  • Banggood can get stuffed after spamming me with SMS…

  • Anyone got recommendations on a good "flood" style torch? I've got the C8s and the BLF Q8, both are great at throwing light long distances. But up close they're terrible. After something like the flood that a everready dolphin can give but bit brighter and perhaps more compact (less of a hot spot too).

Emisar D4, BLF A6, Convoy S2+ and if you want to go thorfire then TK18 and both the TK15 & TK15s

Q8 does a decent job flooding, imho. ROT66 is very nice, I have the Nichia version which does get hot pretty quick at higher output but the output is soooo pretty. D4S is great with the beefy 26650 battery and will have great runtime at decent lumens and S41 fits nicely in the pocket with 18250 tube. Both S42 & BLF A6 is on special at BG. For the C8, BG have a diffuser that does an ok job.

ThorFire - TG06S is very bright for its size, 14500 or AA, TK18 looks good on paper, haven't used it myself.

    • I've got the s2+, BLF A6, Q8 and the TG06S (which is great for to its size) Recently got the Jaxman E2L which has 3 x Nichia 219b leds which might be worth a look at. I wanted a floody light but also one that had a high cri as I needed something that would give me good detail when working up close on things.

Oh and I've read the ramping on the tk18 is somewhat slow compared to the q8. Has anyone had any experiences with the tk18?
