Have you ever had takeaway, or just eaten there? Was thinking of getting something delivered from this place tonight.
Don't see what the difference would be. It's the same food.
Check out the previous thread here, http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/37217
100% agree with mxy. Great value for money but the food is rather bland. I have one more voucher left so maybe I'll ask for a little spice next time (or perhaps BYO chilli).
I went on a Friday as well at about 7PM and the time between meals was 1 hour. There weren't many people there to justify this but it seems I'm the only one who experienced this, so perhaps it was a bad night.
Sorry I couldnt answer earlier … just ate there the once.
Yeah same experience bit bland food
Btw I am bigtime Indian food fan

What I was subtly inplying was what makes them good? Kake is near me so may have to give that a try. I've been to Singh's and My2K, Lygon St. Brunswick East. Both fairly good.
@ Neil
You be the judge, and will find the difference
No personal attacks, but Singh’s and My2K are not even close to Kake Di Hatti and Tandoori Flames.
I have tried them repeatedly, too tomatoe.
I think their reviews in various papers and magazines speak for themselves and if I am not wrong their chef are from 5 Star overseas.Sounds great 777. Will try them out.
Not as spectacular as 4 courses for 4 for $29 … but that was ridiculously good value.
Still at $12.25 per head I don't know where you could do better.
Unless you like your Indian exceptionally mild ('bland' is how one customer less kindly put it) ask them to spice up the dishes a little. On our visit the food was excellently prepared, quality was faultless & the full menu was available (I think u can see it on the net), no skimping. Vowcha operates from the same building I gather, but there is nothing wrong with that.
Final tip: Go early to be sure of no delays: The family went at 6pm (on a Friday) because it suited us and we had the place almost to ourselves, and no waiting for anything, service was great.
