Looking to upgrade my hammer drill to the brushless, saw this one on the total tool website. think it bargrain cause the 2 battery and charger will cost more than $250. Please let me know if this good to buy.Thanks all

  Drill manufacturers make a big deal about the brushless motors, but I reckon it's all spin.

    Why?

    Had issues? I personally haven't had any issues with my brushed stuff and don't use them enough to notice a difference in battery life.

  is it worth the $100 difference of the Ozito Power X brushless hammer for $159 with 2x1.5Ah batteries? Home user of course

    Honestly? No.

    If you don't need brand name stuff, get whatever has the best warranty.

    That being said, if you don't use it a lot, might be better to get the main tools with a cord so you don't have to worry about battery degredation

    You probably wouldn't need to worry about battery duration for small jobs, but if you need to screw into hard woods like jarrah, I'd be getting whichever puts out the most torque, or an impact driver if your wrists aren't up to that much strain.

    Yes it is. Try using your Ozito on a really hard timber predrilled of course and bang a 125mm batten screw through it. You'll be struggling and the same trying to screw hardwood palings for instance to a metal frame like a gate.
    I had a nice Ozito combo with charger and 2x 3 ah batteries and I thought they were great until a mate helped me on a home job and used he's old Makita rattle gun as we screwed 75mm pine together.

    chalk and cheese . I immediately sought out a Makita combo and grabbed a special from Sydney tools…never looked back, brushless,6ah batteries, super strong and leave my old ozito's for dead.

  AEG with 2 batteries (4 and 2Ah) is not much more expensive. I guess it depends if you will be buying more skins of the same brand

    They start around $150.
    Impact drivers are super handy, once you have used one you'll never go back.

  Not a bargain. This is being confused with 5.0 batteries.
