Very useful to buy with your discounted Woolworths eGift cards which you buy at 5% off at various places (apparently only works in some cases - terminals are being upgraded to stop this)
Alternatively buy these with Amex for no cost, get extra rewards points for spending on Amex and then use the prepaid Mastercard at stores where Amex is not available or has a higher surcharge. Note the number of rewards points you get with Amex vs Mastercard will vary depending on the card/s you have.
I just noticed, Officeworks sell Only 1 cards, so you can price match to get 5% off because this offer is for a flat discount to $100 and they have not adjusted their pricing! Making it $95 for the $100 card.
How many will they allow though
Up to 10 probably, as that's what Woolies enforces. Just go to different stores if you want, and order them over the phone too.
Does platinum edge earn 3ppd @ officeworks though?
It does for DJs Amex apparently
Do you think it would be possible to pay for them using coles myer GCs?
I'm not 100% sure unfortunately, alongside the plat edge comment, I hope people can chime in quickly!
Pretty sure, no. Staff will say not allowed.
OK! I managed to buy 4 using a Coles/Myer gift card which I got from the Vogue Fashion Night promo (I just pretended it was a normal credit card). I then came back later and bought more using the ones I bought earlier. I did this again at another store. I pushed my luck and was denied at the third store (they had 36 in stock!!).
In all I bought 23, recycled 12, and ended up with 11 for 27% off overall :D
This ends tomorrow, YMMV.
Out of the box
Such a busy week going to woolworths to get one visa, Coles for the gift MasterCard, Westfield for the vogue
