Yep, I bought the Gold Edition from the US eshop a week before it released on sale for AU$60. Bargain.
Correct. Exact same cartridge, with a piece of paper that has the download code for the DLC/Season Pass and a different cover.
This is a great game, would definitely recommend.

My Target still had the $39 pricetag on the shelf for the sold out standard version but they had filled it's spot with the new gold edition. I played dumb and showed the cashier the ticket - she sold it to me for $39! Winning!

Most likely on 'clearance' due to the release of the 'Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Gold Edition' that comes with The Season Pass and Donkey Kong DLC.
