It's a shame delivery to Perth is so expensive.

    • Free delivery in Sydney. $20 in Perth….

      • Almost like they've to deliver it to another side of a continent or something….oh wait.

        • I doubt they'd be sending fresh food over from Sydney to Perth

        • @Minotaur:

Then they're sending the ingredients, packaging etc. Then they would require a distribution center which would be catering to a much smaller (and isolated) market. Economies of scale.

        • @PainToad: They stock their meals in IGA's in WA already. Meals are the same price as other states in-store

  • Does the deal mention what the free meals are? I have an email from them about the free merchandise, but not about the two free meals or a coupon code.

Edit: I see - it's any two meals. This makes sense :)

Not quite as good as the other one, not too bad. $6 per meal for 300-odd grams. It's a good discount but i might pass on this and wait till it's closer to $4-$5 per meal considering the size

    • +3

$4-$5 a meal is my max too. Pretty small, and whilst some people say these are delicious I wouldn't go that far, some of the meat was a bit substandard and the meals lacked seasonign. Handy to have around though for when you CBF cooking.

    • Same. My muscle chef does $8.50 meals which are 450-500G. Come frozen but they taste ok when reheating. I use them for dinners and $5 Youfoodz for lunches as required.

      • As soon as it gets to like 8-10 dollars I would just buy from a shop.

        • +1

The stuff you get for $8-$10 directly from a shop won't have nearly as much protein as mymusclechef meals. The protein is the expensive part of the meal.

  • Thanks OP! Just used this to buy 30 protein balls as I already ordered for next week. Makes the cost just over $1 each and hopefully I still get the free gift haha.

    • I get $1.40 each

How’d you get it to $1

  • Thanks OP. Heard lots of good reviews about YF, so worth giving it a try for this price.

Whats good about these meals ?
I can get 300gram healthy choice meals for about $3.50 on sale at coles.
Just curious as to if these are much better or healthier etc ?
Nothing against the deal or the company, Im just trying to work out where the value is ? Maybe much better quality then standard frozen meals at coles , idk.

Those are frozen and processed, these do not go in the freezer and are fresher, big diff. I think these are tastier generally too.

      • +1

        Chock full of sodium too

    • +1

Taste much better. They are fresh meals not frozen

      • Thanks for the info. If not frozen, does that mean they don't last long ?
ie. What sort of expiry date do they have after they are delivered ?
        Thanks

        • +1

Meals stay fresh for about 7 days

    • +4

Healthy Choice/Frozen Meals can't compare to these. YouFoodz are delicious

    • +3

Just curious as to if these are much better

Light years in taste and quality. I was very surprised with the quality of most* of the 8 meals I purchased a few weeks ago.

*I won't order the turkey rissoles again.

  • Thanks OP, was waiting for an existing user code.

YouFoodz is great for what it is. But it is on the expensive side when there's no coupons available.

  • Good stuff - lucky I didn't order with the previous code last night!

  • Comes up "Spend requirements for discount but meet". Tried adding a 6th meal and still get the same error.

Error occurs only once I click "finalise order".

  • Thanks OP, ordered. Though I couldn't see any info about the free gift.

  • Do I just add 5 meals from the landing page ? Or do I select the "bundle" option of 5 meals ?
Also, do I get $10 off extra, if I use a random referral ?

    • +1

      just add any 5 meals.
nup, you can only use one coupon code (the referral code for $10 off is a coupon code as well)

      • Thanks . And add the protein shaker before going through checkout ? Or is that an option to choose free gift at the end of checkout or something.

        • nah u dont need to order the gift in your cart, they just chuck one of the 3 options in your box for delivery.

        • @elcap: So I dont get to choose which option ? I only want the protein shaker.

        • @ozzpete: unfortunately no :(

  • Has anyone tried to create another account using another sim card? Does it work? or they will check the delivery address / credit card details?

    • Fairly easy to make a new paypal. If you only have 1 debit/credit card, then remove it from original paypal, before adding card to new paypal. Paypal seems to allow you to do this once. So can have 2 paypals per card essentially.

    • +2

All you need is different email address. I have multiple accounts, with the same PayPal account and delivered to the same address at the same day.

  • decent option if you dont want to be cooking for yourself, otherwise making it yourself is a better option. Food is better than other pre-prepared meals tho.

I would pay $4-5 per meal for these

  • “The 2FREE-1W7S8 discount code has already been used“ :(

    • Worked for me just now

    • +1

looks like the code has been around for quite a while (since at least april), so maybe youve already used it before on your account.

      • Oh, that would make sense.. dammit!

Grabbed the 7 for $49 plus the free meal back on Monday…probs don't need to dip in again so fast lol

Had my 1st meal tonight, the Tasmanian Glazed Salmon and while I was a little worried by it's looks and size I was amazed by the taste. Leaps & bounds above any microwave meal I've ever had and was one of the better dinners period I've had in a while. Sensational.

Not in my budget to have every week sadly but everytime I see a deal I'll look to jump if my other 7 meals are as good as the 1st!

    • Fried chicken and gravy iks my favourite. Absolutely delicious

      • As compared to what? KFC fried chicken?

        • KFC hot and spicy is freaking good! Don't knock it.

  • Ordered. Thanks OP.
Hoping to get a protein shaker.

  • +3

Thanks OP! I grabbed 6 meals for $35 instead (the meal bundles of 5 go for $44.95).

  • Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP, got the 5 meal bundle and a beef pie for $30.

  • Time to stock up. These are good when the mrs is not around. Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP - worked just fine.

  • I got a gold member card

gives a discount of 5% which is basically worthless as I only order with deals like this

    • Each coupon can only be used once per account

    Cool, use 2 emails lol

Wonder what the delivery driver will think when he delivers 2 orders to the same guy next week

  • "This code did not match any active gift card or discount. Was it entered correctly?"

    Looks like expired.

    • I got the same error just now.

    • Yep.

  • Looks like it's expired :(
