It's a wired cable clipped out of the image. Even in wireless devices an antenna is often cosmetic and not required.
That's not right at all!
Wait no, it's right in the sense that's the cable…but I mean antennas are alwats required! Some low range devices, like phones and some routers have internal ones, but they still have them. In the case of antennas, bigger better! Mostly.
Internal antennas, yes they are required obviously. Bigger = better? Usually not the case for frequencies like Wifi/BT/Cellular. google it.
Tenkeyless
*confused screaming*
is nonumpad better?
I mean a keyboard without a numpad. I <3 numpad.
numpad is love, numpad is life
Yeah, but a numpad on the left is better for us right handed mouse users.
If you can make yourself learn. I kinda sucked at that.
Still holding onto my sidewinder x6 though.
but… but… the mouse is inefficient. Learning shortcuts is the way to go… hence the numpad on the right (as you should use it with the hand from the mouse). TBH I gave up on numpads, I am a developer and I cannot think of anything to use it for.
I only use number pads for serious data entry into excel. In which case I don't need shortcuts, I need to navigate - hence the mouse is more useful.
It all depends on what you do I guess.
@justtoreply:
absolutely: essential for tallying up expenses, credit card bills, ozbargain related impulse buys in Excel and part of touch typing in general.
wow. long live the sidewinder! I still have mine somewhere from before I went mech kbs. I wish there were mech kbs with detachable numpads.
I wish there were mech kbs with detachable numpads
Er … there is. Or you can buy seperate numberpad …
@Diji1: Oh. I mean good mech kbs :)
I wish they would remake the x6 with mechanical switches
Does this use the same switches as the G910 ? I find the G910 pretty good for general/office typing but I've missed the recent deals and I don't need the numpad
Yeah they're the same. I read in a review they felt a tad stiffer than an old 910 but I don't know how true that is.
nice
What's the antenna for?
